One of the podcast clients that I'm working with, her name is Erica, and she, I know she shared at least one of her episodes on past lives in the divine, but her and I have been doing a number of sessions in the name of the new podcast. And in these sessions, I really want them to be kind of like, I just want them to unfold. I want us to follow our curiosity, our interests, as opposed to me kind of like over planning.
And even though with each person that I asked to be a podcast client, there are things that I want to explore with them. And there are things that I explore with everyone's higher self just to kind of see what everyone says and what are the through lines. I really do show up to those sessions with an idea of my, I usually have many ideas of where we could go and what we could do, but I always throw those out there and then just check on the client and see.
Like where they at? Where do they want to explore? What's kind of pulling at their curiosity? What's top of mind for them? So Erica and I had a session a few days ago and before that she had a session two weeks before that. And that session, two weeks before the one just a few days ago, she was just feeling kind of a lot of stuck, stagnant energy. She got a lot of
kind of like higher level, bigger picture information, like newer perspectives, which are important and cool and good. And one of the many reasons we go to the higher self. And so this can happen. It's not automatic, but in a session, what can happen is we can get all of these cool epiphanies and aha moments and like, just like clarity, like, of course, of course it's like that.
Of course I'm going to do these things. Yes, this makes so much sense. And sometimes that clarity can show us things about like, well, what we're actually doing to block it, what we actually are having a hard time with in terms of trying to do that thing or get that thing or whatever. And so then it's almost like we go back into our life and sometimes on our journey, and I've been on this part of my journey a couple of times,
Jina Seer (02:26.256)
It's like we have some sort of awakening where we become aware of something within us that we can change that would really, really help us. That would make it easier to go wherever it is that we're trying to go. And that can be annoying too, because to be aware of these things, but then feel like, shit, now how do I change this? Or what is this about? You know, it just brings up a ton of questions. And to me, that's kind of the journey of life.
If you want to make this place a place where you like learn and grow and expand your awareness and your consciousness and experience more purpose and joy and love, it's a part of the journey. You know, it just happens. Anyway, that's where she was. So when we came into the session a few days ago, she mentioned, can we work on this again, basically? Or is that boring? I feel like I got good insights, but now I feel stuck for different reasons.
And I was like, this is so relatable. I mean, I've been on this part of the journey a few times. I know many clients who have. So we went into it just with more specific questions. And I'm sharing this with you because on the email list only secret podcast page, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, there's a higher self hypnotic journey. And I'm telling you, use that, use it, use it again, use it when you get questions.
I know in kinship sometimes we would joke about the fact that like really what we're doing on a healing journey is just getting better and better questions. And I don't know, are questions a bad thing? I don't think so. So we went in and just had this really great session where she got even more clarity. I was like, all right, we got so much clarity last time. Let's like dig down and be like, what are the practical things? Like, what is your next step? And if something gets in the way,
how are we going to get beyond it? We had a great session. Her higher self, of course, like showed up and it was so, so good. So we were texting afterwards and I was like, this actually goes. This goes so well with like a couple of things that I've been thinking about. Number one, one of the things that she had been or that she realized in that session was.
Jina Seer (04:49.465)
Similar to the audio, the secret podcast episode I released, I don't know, a couple episodes ago, was like where I realized I didn't believe in God. Even though that's a big one and kind of like maybe isn't so easy to distill down to everyday life, I do really believe that when we have contradicting beliefs within us, we just feel confused, annoyed, doubtful. Like we don't have purpose because we're kind of being pulled in two different directions.
And so in that, was able to basically, her higher self was like, you need to journal with your higher self every morning. And she started to, and she's been seeing shifts. And she was like, one of the reasons why she felt so stuck in this new business venture that she wants to do is because it was kind of like once she was able to kind of look under the hood in hypnosis, she was able to see
Like, I don't really have a clear picture for what I want this to be. And one of the reasons why she doesn't have a clear picture is because it's like she's afraid she's not enough. She's afraid it won't be enough. And that makes so much sense. But as long as that is quiet and hidden within us, it's just going to cause doubt and frustration and cloudiness and
That is not a recipe for success at all. So one of the things that I shared with her when we were talking about it was I have come off, you know, I have been so self-doubty like my whole life. I feel like my healing is really just like learning to trust myself and not fucking hate myself. And anyway, something I shared this with her and I want to share it with you because I got it from journaling with my higher self.
which is when I am in a space of asking questions like, is this right? Is this a problem? Should I be dealing with this? Should I be angry about this? What should I do here? Those are all the wrong questions. Okay. When those questions come into my mind, that's a signal for my highest self, my highest knowing to step forward. And instead of asking all those questions, is this right? Should I be pissed about this? You know, what should I do?
Jina Seer (07:18.373)
Nope.
In the present moment, my only question is how am I using this to become who I came here to be?
What's my highest and greatest vision of this life? What's in front of me now? How can I use that to become who I came here to be, that highest and greatest vision? Now, sometimes I say that to people and people will go, they'll think I'm talking about stepping on necks and keeping people down and that's not what I'm saying. I do not believe in a world, let me rephrase that.
I believe in a world where I can serve my highest and best and the indicator that I'm serving my highest and best is that I'm happy, the people around me are happy, and if everyone in the world did what I was doing, it would be okay. I believe that I can serve myself and in that serve other people. I see it every day. I see how I invest in myself helps other people. And even though it's...
obvious to me because it's my job. Even if you're not quote, helping people in your job, I bet you help people in your job all the time, all the time anyway. So if that's a measurement of success for you, I would say start looking for that because I know that you're doing it. Also look for ways that you would feel nourished, joyful, excited, loving, abundant that would also make the people around you feel that way.
Jina Seer (08:55.057)
It could be doing things for someone, with someone, doing things for yourself, doing things alone. It's limitless. Okay, so in that, that kind of rebuttal that I get to that sometimes when I'm like, I'm using this energy, like, how can I use it for me? I say that because I see, I trust, like, I want the best for people.
when people are like, AI is going to be able to read your mind. I'm like, fucking bring it. I don't have, there's nothing in the world that I've said about anyone that I wouldn't say to their face. And that's the fucking truth. I feel like if people can see my insides, I would just have a lot less explaining to do. So I'm a good person and I am open to hearing when people don't think I'm being good. So it's like this really easy, because I trust myself and I know that I will continue to learn.
And I will continue to be able to expand my perception of this world and understand, you know, expand in my understanding of other people's perception in this world and how we can move forward knowing that we're all one. Anyway, so oftentimes when I say that people think, you know, I'm just like trying to fucking get mine, you know, and be like one of the few billionaires on the planet while people are starving, which I would literally be embarrassed if people
If I had that much money, people knew I had that much money and there was like genuine problems that could be fixed with money. Anyway, that's not what I mean. And that mentality of like, I believe we can have it all. I believe that as a good human, what I truly want is love and connection. And that looks different for me as it does for everyone else. But if I'm doing love and connection in a loving and connected way, I will not be separating.
I will not be keeping people down. I will not be putting myself above other people. Okay, that is really important because here's the other thing I want to talk to you about today. What happens when we put ourselves on a pedestal? We think other people are better than us. We think we're better than other people. I'm going to serve these people, but these people can fuck off. So when we think we're better than other people,
Jina Seer (11:19.301)
we automatically think other people are better than us. That's just the way it is. If there's a pedestal in your mind, sometimes you're on it, sometimes you're not. Either way, your nervous system is not at peace. It's not. We are equal. We are the same. Meaning we all have the same magic. It's just different the way it comes out. So another thing along this, like not trusting yourself, all of that,
is this other thing that I've been seeing and I'm going to share with you this audio file from September of 2024. So I don't know, six months ago or so. And I had shared it with a friend. were talking. I had had a session with someone else and it was like, sometimes I get these pockets of clients who all have like the similar experience. So this particular client I'll kind of speak to, but
It was like three, maybe even like five people at the same time where they had these lives where they were like some kind of powerful position, you know, like powerful sorceress, a ritual leader, I don't know, like an herbalist, like they were people with a lot of power. And when I'm saying power, I'm not talking about they were ruling the kingdom. I'm saying...
They had a lot of creativity, a lot of knowledge, and they helped people with it. And so they experienced these lives where they're like doing good and they are very powerful, whether it's like through society or just through their gifts, most of the time through their gifts, sometimes both. And it was because actually last fall I started doing some of these higher self sessions just to kind of test them out, see, should I do a podcast on this, whatever.
So I was also having more conversations with some of these people because I was trying to just understand this experience a little bit more. And so I had circled back with a couple or more than a couple, but I had circled back with like three of these women who had these experiences where they were these powerful women. And it was like they could not.
Jina Seer (13:36.883)
It's like they couldn't trust it. And a couple of them even said, when I did trust it, I felt myself feeling like I'm better than these other people and I didn't want to feel that way. And I'm like, you're a good motherfucker, that's why. But that's not where you stop. So I was having a conversation about it and was sending a voice memo at one point and saved it. And so I'm gonna...
let you listen to it. And really, it's just this idea of like, are we guilting ourselves out of our own power? And when we guilt ourselves out of our own power, because we don't want to make it seem like we're putting ourselves on a pedestal, are we doing any good when we do that? And how much good could we do if we did not doubt our power? And if instead of seeing power as like,
money and oppression and stepping on people's throats, could we see it as legacy? Like, what is this world when we leave? What do people have to say about us? Were people glad that we lived? No? Yes? Like, to me that's...
That's really what we want, but we're going to get less of that if we go, whoa, look at all that power I had. Because if you have power in a different lifetime, you have access to it in this lifetime. That's my belief. It's all happening at once. OK, so stop guilting yourself out of your power. And instead, get curious about how powerful you are, the gifts you have, how you can share them in ways that fill you up too. And then.
Get curious about what kind of gifts and magic and power everyone else has. Even and maybe even especially the people you can't stand. People you don't Ha! That'll stretch your mind. Okay. Into the audio file. So I had this thought, and of course I'm gonna take 18 tangents before I tie a bow on it. So here we go. I have had...
Jina Seer (15:44.181)
Obviously working with people one-on-one in these transcendental experiences, I work with people who have like amazing experiences and they are like a powerful healer or a powerful person in their community or maybe they experience, you know, a few lifetimes with me and they see that they're like powerful something in every life and
Maybe they get insights that in this life they're meant to do something really profound, like, I don't know, like whatever it is that I'm doing. I don't know, helping people not be so bogged down by heavy emotions or whatever. you know, other people are called, many people are called to heal the earth, for example, and I have had people who are called to heal the earth and they pick up litter in their spare time.
I know people who have been called to heal the earth and they do Reiki on their backyard every day or last I heard every day. I know people who have been called to heal the earth and they're feeling called to like travel to the earth chakras or energy centers. And so it can feel like, whoa, who am I to like have these amazing powers? And
And I think that a lot of times we ride this edge or it's easy for someone to ride this edge between, am I really that great? And then what can happen when our ego is like, yes, we are that great. And I think a lot of times we disregard these powerful experiences that we've had or these beliefs in ourselves because we kind of feel like, who am I to have this or?
If I have this, does that mean other people are going without? Or I don't wanna revel in this greatness when I know other people aren't or can't or whatever.
Jina Seer (17:46.533)
And here's what I think. I think that we fuck up that situation a lot. And here's what I've been seeing lately. And I don't know the inside of people's lives, of course. I just hear the things that they say. And if they're in a session and it's appropriate, we'll dig into it. Sometimes it's in a session, but it's like tangential and we're working on something else. But.
What we need to do is get people off pedestals, including ourselves. And I know that's uncomfortable. And I know it's like a brand new way to look at things. But if you can do that, if we can do that, right, if there are no pedestals and someone works on that thought.
Right, I'm not gonna think someone's better than me. I'm not gonna think I'm better than someone else. It'll happen naturally. You notice it, you refocus on something else. You slowly retrain your brain that we don't think about that.
But very important to retrain the brain, to just see everybody as their own unique individual. We all got our struggles, we all got our gifts. You know, some people are dealing with way more than other people. Everybody's pain is valid, all of it.
Because when we can actually lean into our greatness and experience these lives where you were some sort of goddess or sorceress or healer, powerful person who helped other people or really cool, powerful person who like many powerful people relied on or something like that, if we can just not feel guilty about that.
Jina Seer (19:42.571)
and instead just be curious and explore it and take it for what it is and learn what we can and take the trust in ourselves because of it and take the confidence because of it. If we are not putting ourselves on a pedestal and we're equal, then that means that everyone else has something like that inside of them. And it doesn't look like yours and it doesn't look like mine, but it looks like...
whatever it is that manifests from their soul in that earth suit.
Jina Seer (20:20.985)
And we can't control if people use these gifts or how they use these gifts. But we can just move forward with knowing they have just as much beautiful divine power in them as you do and I do.
But I notice people right away being like, whoa, I'm like on an ego trip about it. Like they kind of get, they caught, they catch themselves, right? Like I have great people in my orbit. They catch themselves like, this could be like a real ego trip. And it's like, it certainly could. But if you're on a pedestal, that means you can be off that pedestal. So let's get rid of that pedestal. See that we're like everybody else. We are all uniquely different.
but we all have the same valuable. We are all uniquely powerful and valuable in our own different ways to our own different people.
but we squash that in ourselves because we feel bad. And I think it's because we're putting ourselves on a pedestal. And yeah, we shouldn't do that, but we should feel good about it. We should feel good about all of the work we've done to get here in this life and other lifetimes. And so I think it's really important that we start to think about that. Think, notice when we feel better than other people or when we say,
and think and believe other people are better than us. It's just not true. I mean, I like certain people more than other people. That doesn't mean that inherently we're better than them. I mean, it sounds funny when I say it, but like, that's how people live.
Jina Seer (22:13.749)
Anyway, we don't have to understand it all in order to just accept it. And if there is no pedestal, then we can't fall off the pedestal either, brings, I don't know, it brings me a lot of peace knowing that. It makes me very uncomfortable when I've noticed someone's putting me on a pedestal.
I mean, I get it, right? Like I have a podcast, you've been listening to me fucking yammer on forever. Like I've got my people too, where it's like, my gosh, like, I've been listening to you, this is like surreal, we're in the same room or, you know, whatever, I'm having a personal interaction with you. I think that that's normal, but you can feel that way and not be like this person is better than me or inherently I have a lot of work to do to be as good as them.
You know, I mean, we can think that way. I guess that latter part, if it pushes us, but the day of the guru is over. Let's just be ourselves and be messy and bump into each other and apologize when we hurt each other and receive the apology and let it go and just be and not, yeah, I don't know.
It's stressful to think that we are below someone else and it's stressful to think that we are above someone else. And I think that there's a part of our ego that does get off on it. But when it comes to a fulfilling life or something that truly makes us feel grateful, I just don't think that those things, it's just a different key for a different door.
Jina Seer (24:02.249)
So take yourself off the pedestal while noticing how fucking amazing you are and paying attention to and owning every amazing thing you did in another lifetime. And every time you remember that in yourself, know that every single soul has that in them and it does not make it less. It just makes this world fucking better.
And it's none of our business if people are gonna use it or not. We just gotta keep our own kind of space clean and do what we can for the greater good and then let it go. Not letting the bullshit of the collective that we can't control, know, muddy our waters and all of that stuff makes us feel lack and all of that stuff makes us feel like we gotta choose sides and all of that stuff.
makes us feel like we're up here and they're down there and all of that stuff divides.
Jina Seer (25:07.117)
And from my vantage point right here today as this person.
If it is dividing, there's evil behind it.
I don't care how good your side is, if you have no love for the other side.
Jina Seer (25:30.248)
And I think it's so silly to actually think that we have the whole picture.
and that we are just fighting for things that don't matter and we're putting our energy and cratering our mental health for things that matter, but if we sacrifice ourself, it does not matter.
So let's take away the pedestals. We've all got shiny bits of ourselves. Just trust, just know, move forward, but lean into it. Don't let that guilt stop you from like leaning into your power and really trusting that it's yours and getting curious about it and having fun with it.
