Hey everyone, I have a fun conversation for you today. I have Kelly Smith, podcast host of Mindful in Minutes and Meditation Mama. And we are discussing some things. We start out with, she asked me some way too personal questions, which I answered in the name of friendship and reciprocity. Because just a couple of weeks ago, her and I sat down for a recording on her podcast, Mindful in Minutes.
and I had asked her some personal questions that I just knew her listeners had. I know they had that question. So it was about like partying, does she ever lose control? And so she brought me some questions to overshare on my own podcast and her episode that we recorded for her podcast won't be out till August. So maybe like a month and a half or something like that or a month.
And so go subscribe at mindful in minutes, the podcast, that's Kelly's podcast. So you can catch that episode when it comes out and you can always do a little search for my name. I'm not like super proud of it, but I am the only podcast guest on mindful in minutes that needs the explicit E marker on their podcast. So much love to Kelly for.
Loving me through all of my swear words, even though her squeaky clean podcast listeners probably don't always appreciate it So this conversation opens up I talk a little bit about a Pilates training that I'm in I've been doing this Pilates training for like six months. It's 500 hours I should be done with it in two months But when her and I sat down to record this episode that you're about to listen to I had literally just run home from teaching my first full
Pilates class at the Pilates studio that I go to and I'm being trained at and that was just super exciting. And I'm trying to get better at celebrating these things that I do because I do some cool shit and I don't even let them register in my brain. So after that, we get into those two personal questions, TOO personal questions that she asked me. And then we get into seer sessions. How is she has some questions like she wants to know how it's different than past lives in the divine. What's the focus?
How can we tap into our higher self? What do I do personally to tap into my higher self? Am I having someone hypnotize me? Am I hypnotizing myself? How has this higher self energy connecting to channeling my higher self? How has that benefited me? We cover that and so much more in this conversation. Check out her links in the show notes, go subscribe, say hi to her, tell her you liked this conversation.
We, of course, hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed it, recording it, having this conversation. Kelly, thank you for being on this podcast, not only right now, but always. You're very inspiring to me. And I'm so thankful for our friendship. All right, everybody, here is the conversation. I would just like to celebrate for a moment, because I'm trying to get better at this. I just completed my very first Pilates class. I taught the whole thing. Yay! It so good.
I basically started and then blacked out and then came to at the end. Were you being observed when you were doing it? Yeah, always. Yeah. Yeah. But like they weren't like you're being like evaluated and like your boss was there. My boss wasn't there, but another instructor who's my boss's dad was there. But he's he's really just so happy that I'm going to be taking his Tuesday classes. He's just like, you didn't cry. That's 500 hours.
I have been working like 15 to 20 hours a week on this in addition to everything else. And that's another reason why I'm like, when I'm done working this hard on Pilates, I am going to crank for this podcast. I'm going to be the Kelly Smith of hypnosis. I actually laugh out loud. I cackled when you were like, will you show me how to be the Kelly Smith? So I came up with a couple of fun questions. Let's do it. Let's just start right now.
So Gina, in the spirit of friendship and reciprocity, when you were on my show, you asked me questions, these burning questions. were convinced everyone else was curious about me. Like, did I have a party in stage when I was younger? So I came up with some for you. Are you ready? Let's hear them. First, what I'll say, I don't get hangovers from these conversations at all. But the next day after we recorded that, I was so.
Jina Seer (04:48.752)
like such a party hoe. I'm like, the party is like a state of mind. Like you don't have to be effed up to, you know what I mean? Okay, I will. I have a little bit of a confession here. You might want, you better leave this part in your episode, I am still working on editing the episode and I already know I made a mental note when we were talking. I will have to whittle down the tangent that you went on on how much you love cannabis.
It's so important to me though, because people who don't use cannabis, but they use alcohol think cannabis is just like alcohol. And it's a completely different experience to me. So I just wanted to like clear the air. I wasn't bombed in my shower. It was like an elevated moment. Actually, I do have a question in here about drugs and substances for you. Okay, cool. I was also laughing to myself. I am so obsessed with Gina. Also fun fact, someone who was with me in Scotland was talking about
just the episodes and the guest episode. And they were like, I love the episode with Gina. She's so funny. And I was like, well, you are in for a treat because Gina is coming back and she is talking about cannabis and the higher self and how her life has been turned inside out. she was just like, so shout out to Sarah, mindful minutes listener and retreater. And she was like, I am so excited to hear from Gina again. And she was like, does the episode have the little red E because it's explicit. was like, absolutely it does.
I'm trying. No, it's was so great. apparently you're just like a legend. Oh, well, I'm glad because I cannonball into your audience's ears and they're like, who is this crude woman? They love it. They love it so much. OK, good. Good. OK, so some questions I have for you. Do you have any body modifications? What does that mean?
Like tattoos, ear scenes, don't know I guess, job, I don't know. Any body modifications? I have my first one. Can you see my teeny tiny little earrings? My gosh. I forgot you didn't even have your ears pierced. No, but in Scotland we did it. It's a whole thing. But do you have any, now that I have my first, I'm very curious about everyone else's.
I do have my ears pierced. I mean, I don't ever wear earrings anymore, but I guess I could if I wanted to. The holes are pretty old. And I mean, of course, in college, I had my navel pierced. I had my eyebrow pierced in high school, which obviously did not go over well with the adults, but it looked pretty sweet, I thought. And then I have tattoos, for sure. I have like half a sleeve on one arm, a few on the other arm. Do you have a favorite?
yeah, I have this, I don't know if you can see it. It's kind of a weird look through this camera, but it's very delicate lines. And it's my most recent one. My friend Erica, she had these beautiful, very delicate floral lines. And I was like, my God, that's who I'm going to get my tattoo from. Cause for me, for tattoos, I usually have an idea. And then I wait for someone to hit my orbit who like does that style.
I texted Erica and I was like, all right, I'm going to go to this woman. Can you send me some names? She's an herbalist. Send me some names of some beautiful flowering plants that are also historically have been used as poison within a minute replied with 20 options. So I was Googling them, looking at pictures. And then a couple hours later, she texted back and she said, what are you using this list for? So funny. So it's like a little bouquet. Yeah. and do you have a least favorite?
when you kind of wish you could erase. huh. Yeah. So on my love handle, I have a seahorse. I love the ocean as much as everyone else, but I'm not like an oceanic person at all. I got it on my 18th birthday. I don't recommend, but also who cares? Who cares? I love it. I love it. All right. What do you think about and how do you feel about ghosts?
Jina Seer (08:59.342)
I think they're there whether you believe in them or not. I believe that sometimes people get confused when they die and they don't know they're dead. And so then that's how they get stuck. And for men, a lot of times the emotion of anger is accompanying it from my experience. And with women, I've never encountered a woman earthbound who,
wasn't there in search of her kids or to stay there with her kids. But it's also very confusing to them, right? Because that's not the life they have, because they can't access people. So it's kind of a confusing state for them. But yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I've cleared so many of them. I've had so many conversations with them. And is there any particular ghost experience that you've had that stands out to you or that you feel compelled to share? Yeah, the one that's coming to my mind is
I had just started hypnosis training. And so this was a woman who I met through hypnosis training. So we didn't have a long history, but we felt pretty close just, you know, how it is when you go through a training with someone. I was over at her house in South Minneapolis and she randomly was like, do you ever get rid of things that might be in a basement? And I said, yeah, what's going on? And she had had this vision of like this just like kind of demonic, like nasty face, like in this one corner.
of her of her basement. So I was like, yeah, let's go down there and I couldn't see it but I could feel it and when I went down there I felt this energy come up the front of my body and like wrap around my neck and it was the wildest feeling and I almost I am the type of
who kind of thrives in those situations. Because I was just like, fuck no. And then saying the things, but it even would put out the herbs that we were using to clear and cleanse. It would put those out. They would just go out. was wild. Whoa. Okay, that is wild. Gosh, I just love Gina ghost stories. We should look into my house sometimes because every once in while things pop up here and my, the next door neighbor
Jina Seer (11:19.35)
told me years ago when we moved in. he was like eight and had no filter. And he was like, Kelly, did you know that old people used to live in your house? Yeah, they died in your house. Oh, thanks, Noah. Anyway, so I do know there's been some confirmed deaths in this house, but there's some interesting things every once in while that will happen in this house. anyways, not about me, maybe- to go to the light. Tell him to go to the light, okay. The other day I woke up.
And something that woke me up was I was laying in bed. There's two things that have stood out since we're talking about ghosts. One time I was laying in bed in the spare bedroom, which is now my daughter's room. And I was laying like on my side and I felt what felt like this small, either very small hand or kind of like a large paw right in the middle of my back. And I woke up and it just felt like almost as if Mila, my dog, would have taken her little paw and she doesn't sleep in the bed with us, so it wasn't her, and just put it in the middle of my back. And then I was driving with
my husband the next day, my husband and I driving and I was like, the weirdest thing, I didn't sleep very well last night, the weirdest thing happened, it was the middle of the night and I felt this like little hand, like little paw thing in the middle of my back and he just turns and looks at me and he felt the exact same thing. We were in separate bedrooms because we were taking turns because my son was baby. We were in totally different bedrooms and we both just in the middle of the night, felt this tiny little hand like right, almost like between my shoulder blades. And my husband who was so not.
like a believer, just so not into this at all. And he felt that same thing. And this was years ago. And then the other night I was sleeping in bed and I woke up and it felt like someone took two hands on either side of my feet and just like slammed them down on the bed on either side. And I felt the vibrations and that's what woke me up. And that same night, the monitors for the kids like weren't working correctly. Weird things were happening with the electronics. It was a very weird night. Gina, the next time you're up here.
We can take a little journey. And I don't feel like it's necessarily anything bad. I do, I am very sensitive to that stuff, as you know, and I do definitely know the feeling of like the dark, something that you absolutely cannot be in my home. This just feels like something that everyone's smile just comes and goes. And it just feels more kind of weird. What the heck is going on here? Not necessarily bad or scary or dark. It just feels very weird. You have any intuitive hits about that? Well, okay, first of all,
Jina Seer (13:40.488)
A lot more people are experiencing this and I've actually gotten a lot of people reaching out being like, have some weird stuff in my house, blah, blah, blah. And sometimes if they're a client and have a session, I'll put up extra protection, but we'll examine it. But really what I have people do is just to try to tune into it. Does it feel like it's tied to you? Does it feel like it's tied to your house? And there's no wrong answer here for me personally. I'm easily influenced period.
That can be a very strong suit, but also not. But I don't want any of that in my house. If I haven't invited you in, you're not invited. So I would intentionally put that up. If I felt some weirdness, I would imagine that spark of light in the center of me and expand it out, like in your brain, see it, feel it in your body, expand it out, expand it out to your whole house, put a bubble around your whole house. And that is supposed to be, unless you've
Unless it's grandma who you gave permission to come visit. You know what I mean? There are different ways you can do that. To me, it feels like a supportive thing. Not the hand slamming on the bed, but the hand in the back feels like a supportive thing. get the feeling that that's... Do you have a grandma connection, right? Mm-hmm, I do, yeah. So that, I get that feeling, but the hands slamming down on the bed, that would be a no-go in my house. Absolutely not. Nope.
Yeah, I especially if people mess with if if it's like a messing with my sleep. I do know that's a boundary that you set. Do not mess with my sleep. I do know this about you, Cheena. No, I appreciate that. And I need that reminder because I've done the bubble thing before and it definitely does help. I just need to do. Yeah. OK, a couple of questions. Let's talk a few more questions and then hire yourself. OK. OK. What is your favorite? This is the last silly one. What is your favorite drug substance? You can only pick one favorite.
What's so great about It does not bring me down. When I drink alcohol, I always feel anxious and slightly depressed the next day. Even on an imperceptible level, I'm pretty sensitive to it. So it's not that I wouldn't do it, but I have not been drunk in over a decade. Cannabis, it helps me relax. helps me, first it helps me be way more compassionate to myself. And it was really a part of my journey that helped me understand how big of an asshole I was to myself.
Jina Seer (16:06.206)
Like this is, this is so specific, but in Minneapolis, there's so many companies. And so when I was in wellness and doing corporate wellness and I had this eight week program that I'd sell to people and I'd go in there and I'd run these eight week programs, even if a company bought it from me and I would do it, if they didn't re up, it would be, I would beat myself up about it. And not only in that moment, but every time I drove by that work site, I would think about how I fucked that up. What did I do wrong? How could I do different? And.
It was just the use of cannabis, not just when I'm high or whatever, just having it in my system even the next day. I could clearly see that. been so mean to myself. I haven't thought about coffee in four years, but every time I drive by them, or I haven't worked there in four years, but every time I drive by them, I get pissed that they fumbled this project or whatever. And it was constant. was one of the first things that really opened me up to the depths of how nasty I could be to myself.
So I'm also forever grateful for that. It's really just a mind opener, relaxer. I don't ever feel out of control, but I also smoke it. When people do an edible, it can go sideways real quick, but people don't like to smoke. But here we are. Here we are. Thank you. I don't do it much, so whatever. What signs or symbols do your guides send you when you need a message?
just the other day I thought I don't ever ask for signs. Do you have particular like animals? Like one time I was driving home after reiki training and I saw this like, it when I still lived with my parents and I was turning the corner and standing on the sidewalk, like it was just going for a walk was the biggest fuck, right? Isn't that the term for like a male deer with the big
You know, I live in Minnesota, but I'm not like Minnesota, like deer. They're like mosquitoes. Gal. You know what I mean? There's so many. There's just so, but like the big, it was huge. You could have told me this thing was actually half moose and I would have believed you and had like biggest. horn antlers, whatever it is. And it was so big and so majestic and just standing there looking at me in like my parents, like suburbs. So there's a ton of deer and stuff in Minnesota, but not.
Jina Seer (18:29.692)
like this. So what's the signal with that though? Because that's what I never get. Okay, this animal is acting weird. Also, I have some kind of snow white vibes for animals are always coming toward me in the woods. Okay, you might. You have a whole place. Get out of here. Get the fuck away from me. look up the meaning of that animal. So for example, was and I had been thinking about this one situation that I was really just having a hard time with a relationship I was having with someone. And I looked up the
meaning of like this particular animal and it was about navigating change with grace. Basically the deer because they move kind of like quickly gracefully and it was basically moving through this process of change with this ease and grace. Normally the way it works for me is I will have a question in my brain and I'm going out on a hike or I'm going to the gym to work out. I want the answer to this question and then I almost always get it. I can't think of a time when I didn't get it. It just pops into your head.
Yeah, for example, in the last few months, I've done 30 hypnosis sessions in the name of this podcast. And the low hum of the HVAC system has driven me mad listening. So, use AI to take the low hum out. Well, it makes the voices tinny, blah, blah. I can't do it. can't. I don't want to listen to this. I'm not going to put it out. Well, what are you going to do? Cause your podcast launches.
in two fucking weeks, girl. Like, what are you going to do? And I just did, normally I would have freaked out. I would have probably published them even though they sound like shit. And maybe I will someday if I can fix it or if it goes well with something else, maybe I'll slice it up. But okay, that really sucks. But I know that there's a better option and give it to me. I know I'm not alone in this. And the next day I went to the gym.
got on the stair mill, popped the gum in my mouth that I always pop and opened up my phone, opened up my email and just like typed out an email completely to myself what the different sessions are gonna be. I'm the client, who's leading it, what am I exploring? And then when I get that idea, I go, huh, that's an interesting little puzzle piece. Cause that actually goes perfectly with this other thing that I was planning. So now it's like half the work, cause I'm doing kind of the same amount of work for two different things.
Jina Seer (20:53.236)
So to me, it's not necessarily like signs, it's almost like I'm asking for direct answers. And we'll get into it, but I started doing that about a year ago when I started to really make a connection with my higher self and understand what that energy is to me and how I can use it. Yeah, I wanna hear more about that, specifically how I can do it. And then last two questions, what do you think your soul came here to learn in this lifetime?
And is there anything you would go back and tell your younger self? I don't think I came here to learn one fucking thing. I came here to demonstrate what I already know and remember what I've forgotten. That's what I believe. And this life, at least where I sit right now, I'm probably like not even halfway through it, has been a lot about believing in myself. And I'm at like this crossroads of understanding how much I have not believed in myself, how much I've hold.
held myself back, how much I've like emotionally harmed myself because of that. I want this lifetime to be a wealth of pleasure, self-love, and belief in myself and like proving that I can do even more than I ever thought I could do. And so with that, I would tell my younger self, you're right, these people are crazy. You.
Do not believe the contempt coming from the world around you. You are fine. You are gonna do good. Go out and get around people who inspire you, who motivate you. That's what I would tell myself back then, because I was just so filled with self-doubt, thinking I was bad, thinking I was bad at everything. It's just such a waste of time. And it's not true. It's not true for one person. So that's what I would tell myself. I love it. Thank you for sharing all of those with me, Gina.
Do you want, should we talk about the seer session? Should we talk about the higher self? Should we talk about it? Can you tell me, I know that you've been through so much and have you caught your audience up to speed as to everything that has been changing within you and the journey that you've been on? No, because I'm, I will be. There's literally so much. I don't even know just in the last three years, the amount of change, but specifically the last year. seer sessions are a culmination of
Jina Seer (23:12.911)
everything I've learned, not only in the last couple years, but everything I've learned working with clients in the last seven years in hypnosis. And what I'm starting to see is that people are going to these spaces quicker than ever. People are going there spontaneously on their own. And so in past lives in the divine or kind of like the previous iteration of this podcast, it was really about me. Exploring and explaining how hypnosis
can help us in how going to another lifetime, experiencing a past life through hypnosis can really help us in many different ways. It can shift your perspective, help you understand how to embody something, not only that, but help you embody it just like that after you've experienced those lifetimes. So I have not caught everybody up, I will, but it's so damn much. If Past Lives and the Divine was about hypnosis and other lifetimes,
Seer sessions is really me focusing on that trance state. So I use hypnosis to get people into that transcendental state, but the transcendental state is something that we all experience regularly, at least on the way to and from sleep. So in that trance state, we can do all kinds of things. We can experience another lifetime, which I think is still fun and valuable and entertaining to me.
But even better, we can experience our inner guidance, our inner wisdom, and I call that our higher self. To me, the higher self is the part of my energy that's branching off of source creation, God. So it's the most God-like I can be. It is my connection to the divine. And it is me, but unencumbered by my history, by the earthly things that weigh me down and hold me back. It's the part of me that holds
all the lessons, all the plans. It's the part of me that lives life after life, life in between lives. So yes, we can still talk to your ancestors, explore with your spirit guides, go to the Akashic records. We can experience another lifetime. But my mission with the switch is more about helping people understand the trance state that they can get there on their own and to access that inner wisdom. I really believe that when people get curious and get to know their inner wisdom, their higher self,
Jina Seer (25:32.559)
They can become even better creators in this life and they become less ego bound, more expansive and loving, more understanding to themselves, to other people. So even though it's good personally, I think it's good for the collective. The more people that do this, the better. Why do you think you mentioned that people are getting to this trance like state or accessing this higher self kind of going there faster, but also spontaneously more than ever. Why do you think that's happening?
So, I know there's a few theories out there from my vantage point. It's because it's becoming more mainstream. And so more people believe it. I always say the thing you need to have a good hypnosis session is a hypnotist that you trust and then your ability to let go and get weird. And in that, it's a belief. It's a belief that you're okay to explore like this. It's a belief that it's true if it is true to you. So,
I think that partially, it's not mainstream, but more mainstream people are talking about it, talking about spirit guides, talking about other lifetimes, talking about hypnosis. And so with that, people are less afraid and they see more people talking about it in ways that worked for them. So they go, huh, maybe it can work with me. And I know it sounds so trite and small and stupid, but if someone doesn't believe it's gonna happen, it's not gonna happen. That's why like in the hypnosis training that I do,
I always talk about self-hypnosis. This is self-hypnosis. I am not doing anything to you. I'm creating an environment and you can listen to me talk to help get yourself where you want to go, but that person needs to suspend disbelief. And I say suspend disbelief because most of us have been trained to if your imagination is there, it's like, don't listen, that's just your imagination. No, that doesn't count, you know?
Can you see it? Is it tangible? These unseen realms, unseen feelings, people just historically have even been killed for talking about, you know, leaning into those inner wisdom and the voice inside. So I think that's what it is. But also, are humans becoming more evolved? It seems like it. I don't know, when I look at my nephews and niece versus my parents, those brains seem way different.
Jina Seer (27:56.125)
Like I know that the age is different too, but it seems very, very different. So on some level, maybe the human psyche is changing, expanding. Let's hope we're all expanding and growing. But I also think it's just like the belief in the normalcy of it. I am curious, before I ask you this next question, how did you know it was time to be done with past lives in the divine? Past lives in the divine had run its course and that that cycle was over. And then what sparked you to then be like, I need to podcast again, but it's
It's new and it's different. Can you tell me about that? I set Past Lives and the Divine down a year ago. And a year before that, I started having these feelings of it just felt stagnant. I didn't want that to be true. I liked doing a podcast, but it felt like it wasn't right. This is in hindsight now. When I look back on it, it's hard for me to be creating in one vein and try to create something new. And I was trying to ideate, trying to figure out what
What about this doesn't feel good? What could I change? And I could not think of it. And then pretty soon it just became very, very obvious to me in my process, because I've been through a few death and rebirth cycles in my career. It just became very clear, this is over. and you know what it was, Kelly? I started feeling cringe when I would release an episode. Wait, tell me more. Tell me more. Yeah.
Well, okay, so I'm on a whole journey trying to figure out with what cringe is. mean, I'll actually be exploring that in session when I'm the client on the podcast because I want to know more about it because people are always like cringe, lean into it. And I'm like, I will turn inside out if I lean into this. Like I can't, and I don't know if it's like my cold Northern upbringing or my uptight family that I came from, but like.
I just, like, I experienced cringe so easily just watching other people do life that when it comes into my life, I was like, okay, now I don't know what this is and I cannot put all this work into something that makes me feel kind of cringe. And I think what it was in hindsight is the past lives in the divine was started so I could have these conversations and build my clients and feel like,
Jina Seer (30:14.813)
The world included this in a viable option because before I did that, I didn't have anyone to talk about anything like that. And I think just after five years of podcasting, I had completed that goal. And even though I was thankful, it was just running the same track and I was ready for an expansion, but I was too scared to even think about that, I think. And then when I started wrapping up, this is the way it works for me too.
I started wrapping up Past Lives in the Divine and immediately I started getting trickles. Here's what's next in your next podcast. And I'm like, well, give it to me now, God damn it. So I could just pivot. But I couldn't get it. And you know what it is? I couldn't get it back then because I needed to be this person. And I wasn't this person yet. And so I could feel it coming. And even on one of the last episodes of Past Lives in the Divine, I said, I already have ideas for my next podcast.
And even though the pivot isn't huge, the pivot within me is a completely different perspective. And a different perspective will change your life without changing one thing in your life. So even though it might not look super different to other people, to me, the pivot was enough to like reinvigorate me, make me feel aligned so I could create something that I was proud of again, instead of for me to create something that's not in alignment with who I am. Even if it is good, even if it does help, it's just for me, I just have to do work that I care about.
Yeah, absolutely. And so in the seer sessions, I know that you're really focusing on the higher self. Is there one particular thing that really sparked this interest? tell me more about the higher self. do you, Gina, what is the higher self to you? Let's start there. Okay. My higher self is, it's my direct line to God. That's how I think of it.
I think that my higher self is the sole part of me that inhabits this body plus God. If source creation energy is a big blob and all of our individuated energy off of that source, I believe we're all one essentially. And so we all branch off of that source. Then the part of me that is closest to the source, that is my higher self. And so that's the way it's arranged visually in my brain. But really what it is, it's my highest
Jina Seer (32:41.309)
greatest version of me. And when I say highest and greatest, now and forever, I never mean it's good for me, but someone's suffering. If that's the option, we haven't found highest and greatest yet. Highest and greatest is it's good for me and it's good for everyone else. And it's through the wisdom of the higher self that I get there and that we could all get there. So I...
Now, I'm going to say this, I hesitate to say this because you just take care of yourself, people, do what you need to do. But for me personally, my higher self has replaced my therapist. I used to go through life and accumulate all these questions about life, questions about myself in life, questions about my reaction to life, and bring them to my therapist. And a good therapist, my understanding,
We'll take that and then ask you really good questions so you come to a conclusion on your own. So that's how I would use therapy before, obviously not saying get rid of your therapist before you're ready. I'm not opposed to going back to therapy, but now when those questions accumulate, I make it a point, okay, tonight I'm going to make sure to sit on my couch. I'm going to have some nice tea brewed and I'm going to go into this meditation, access my higher self, and then I write.
like to me to journal when I'm accessing my higher self. So it's essentially like I'm journaling, but it's, I've done kind of, it's essentially a meditation, but like a guided induction for myself to get there. And then I write out the answers to those questions and I am consistently blown away by the expansiveness of the answers, by the realistic practical application of the answers. And a lot of times it's things that I would have never thought of on my own. So it's me.
but just without the emotional reactions, the heaviness of earth. It's just a different perspective. Is that your favorite way personally to access your higher self through meditation and then doing what I call soul writing or like automatic writing? One of the questions that I asked my higher self when I started doing this a lot last summer was, okay, well, I go visit my higher self. I can visit my spirit guides, other lifetimes, Akashic records. Like, who do I go to for what?
Jina Seer (34:58.244)
And I'll actually be doing a podcast episode on that because that's the other thing when I'm channeling my higher self, I don't often remember. So I have to write it down. One of the things specifically for the higher self that my higher self told me was you can get this information whenever you want. just doing, for example, a higher self hypnotic journey, you can access that higher self. And I call it an activation because that
voice is always there. You were born with it, it's with you in every single lifetime, it's with you after you die, that's who you are. So in that space, I would go in and be with my higher self. And when I come out, that connection is even stronger because that voice is always there. But when we go in trance, our mind and our body are so still and so focused that we can
clearly observe and take in that energy. And so when we do that, it's easier than in everyday life to access it because I know what it sounds like. I know what it feels like. And so the more you do it in trance, the easier it gets to get those insights on the fly. Access that part of you whenever you want, even if you're not in meditation, even if you're in a room full of people and you're stressed out or whatever.
One of the things I asked my higher self was, what's the difference though? Like, do I eventually stop meditating to be with my higher self? am I supposed to elevate to a space where I just always have this connection? And my higher self was basically like, yes, of course, if that's what you want to do, you can. That would take a lot of practice, but you can do it for sure. Anybody could do it. But the difference when I sit in meditation or anyone sits in meditation and they're
physically quiet, eyes closed, and they're there with their higher self, 100 % focused. That's like actually being in the room with your friend. But when you're on the fly, just accessing higher self wisdom, maybe you're driving and you're like, this person's driving me crazy, what do I do? And then you get calm and you just go, okay, what does my higher self say? And then just allow anything to come to mind.
Jina Seer (37:13.242)
and see what happens, see how it feels, make sure it still feels like your higher self, that's still valid, it still works, it's still benefiting your life. It's like a phone call or a text. You're still getting the messages, you're just a little bit more removed. So if you need that extra love and nourishment and want a relaxing time with your higher self, go into the meditation. But otherwise, the meditation is there essentially so you can practice it, know it, so you can access it in your daily life.
And so then how do you help others get to the space? Because it sounds like you personally are so connected to your higher self through these different practices, but then how do you facilitate and create a space where then others can access this? I do a hypnotic induction and any hypnotic induction I do, I'm always spiritually protecting us, energetically protecting us. believe that it's, maybe I'm a little safety Sally over here, but when we're going into these unseen realms, I want to be protected. I mean, why not?
So I do the whole hypnotic induction where we put up the spiritual protection and then we actually move into the space of your higher self via a memory. So here's what I know to be true about the space of the higher self. It's also, everything is vibrating, right? Everything's vibrating. So we're vibrating. We're vibrating at a certain frequency. Our emotions play a role in that frequency.
And as we experience more elevated emotions like love, peace, joy, gratitude, the higher the frequency at which we're vibrating. So to access a memory where you felt unconditionally loved. And then from there, when the client is in that state, feeling unconditional love, which you know, in the trance state, we feel things more profoundly, more detailed.
And then it's in that space that we go to the higher self. So the way I do it with a client, we know who we're channeling because we're using intention. We know we're safe because we're using that protection on the way in. And we know that we're having like the holiest, most divine conversation because we're accessing and we're moving into that space with the most beautiful emotion, which is unconditional love. so what then walk me through the process from like,
Jina Seer (39:31.046)
beginning to end. So if I were to, I just signed up and booked a session with you, that just happened. Walk me through from beginning to end, what can I expect? All right. Well, when you sign up for a session, you're going to get an email back that has some things that you can do to get ready for your session. And in that is like little PDF about getting your space set up. That's very important. You want to be relaxed, not distracted. And then I also send a hypnotic track.
where people can listen to it like a guided meditation. They can listen to it before they go to bed, but it's really a track to get them used to going to their higher self. So it's the induction, it's the memory provoke, and then it's getting them to their higher self. they don't, you don't have to do that before a session, but the more you access your higher self, the easier you'll get there and the more information you'll get. So that's why I want people to kind of prep and do it on their own if they can.
But either way, when you come to the session, then we'll do a short intake. It's usually about 10 minutes long, just getting a sense of what questions do you want to ask your higher self? What's your intention? Like, why are you here? And then from there, we'll do the induction. We go to the higher self. I ask the questions, they get the answers, and then eventually wake them up and come back. But it's very similar to a past life regression in the sense where I ask the questions and the client just waits.
sees what comes to mind and then repeats it to me. So it really is kind of that same process. We're using intuition. I think of intuition as like the phone line, whether we're accessing another lifetime or our higher self. What are some of the most common questions that people have for their higher self? People are so interested in the purpose of their life. So interested. And that's just an indicator of people waking up to their power.
They wake up to the spiritual side of themselves, however that happens. And then they're like, it's more than just this life. Why am I here? What am I doing? And so life purpose comes up in almost every single session. And then also too, this idea of security and safety. So a lot of times when people are digging around in their life purpose, it's usually because they don't like their job or they want to switch their job or they want to refine their.
Jina Seer (41:54.566)
professional role. And so in that space, that can be a hard thing to actually make that shift. We can get the perspective changes and get the courage to do it. But then when people make that shift, a lot of times just these 3D earthly fears of, I don't have a bi-weekly paycheck anymore. And how am I going to do this? And what does safety and security mean to me? And what is enough? Like those are really interesting questions too, because we often feel like we need a lot.
of external things to sustain us. we absolutely, you know, I'll be, anyone who says money doesn't matter has never been broke. Money matters. Money makes your life better for sure. But what you do every day, who you are every day is the thing that matters the most. So sometimes those things can conflict. So it's like life purpose and then like safety and security. How much do I need? What's appropriate fear here? What's fear just holding me back? So those are kind of the things.
But I think it's an indicator of more and more people waking up. You know, the more insane the world around us gets, the more a lot of us are like, maybe my insights aren't that wild. Maybe there is something inside. And I think it's beautiful that we want to go inside and look, because I think if we're doing it in the right way, expansively, lovingly, that light of love that we shine on ourselves, we eventually shine it on other people because we can, we get curious, like, who are you? Like, what's your divine version and what are you up to?
And it's the really loving little give and take that eventually spreads out beyond us. And what are the common themes that you feel like people's higher selves? if you could put it, maybe this is easier said than done, but if you could give like, what's trending right now with the higher selves? What do they seem to want us to know collectively? Because I know you've been doing so many of these higher self sessions. And I imagine that you're seeing trends or similarities between what's coming through
via these, everyone, your client's higher self. Yeah, and it's really, I mean, I almost, it's like these clients will ask questions about these things and I almost know exactly what their higher self is going to say, but we all have to get these messages. And sometimes this is just the way you get it, right? And so in the sense of what is the purpose of my life, the higher self always comes back with whatever you want or have fun or help people.
Jina Seer (44:21.768)
And at the end of the day, here's what I know to be true. Experience on earth is what we make it. It's what we want it to be. So yes, I believe that we chose that before we came, but today you are awake and breathing in this present moment. You can choose the purpose of your life at any moment. And I really want people to pause on that. Cause I think when people hear that they go, Oh, it's an answer that doesn't matter. No, no, no, no. This answer is so subtle. It's so powerful.
It will change your world. What do you want your life to be about? You came here to experience life. What kind of experience do you want to have? So that's purpose. And I really do believe when a human is nourished and loving and expansive in their energy, they will serve other people. It feels good to do shit for other people. It feels good to be in community, even if we don't like people sometimes. and then the other theme of
Not only life is what you create it, like yes, you had a plan, but what do you want to do with it now? But also that in order to feel truly safe and secure, we have to trust ourselves. And that might mean a million different things to a million different people, but this constant self doubt, this constant disbelief, this make a decision and doubt it, or doubt yourself so much you don't make a decision.
And it's like these thoughts of like life is what you came here to create it. You can create whatever you want and you have to trust yourself. You have to believe in yourself in order to make that work. Those are always the themes. It's so cool to see. It's a good reminder for me, honestly. Like I sometimes feel like I'm the thickest skull when it comes to that. So it's good thing this is my job. So I get this message every day. And what do you think are the
benefits of connecting with your higher self other than getting guidance or like if you have specific questions like are there do you think there's just like general benefits or things that you've noticed within yourself that have changed for the better since you started doing higher self work personally? When I started going to my higher self I was naturally curious about what is this part of me and so I became curious about it and then when I started being in it I started to see all the ways
Jina Seer (46:41.798)
that Gina is Gina and the parts of Gina that have always been there life after life. And so it's really, it's almost like opened up this tenderness and curiosity about myself to get to know myself even better. And then when I do it through my higher self, I'm in love with myself even more. But here's the cool thing, because as a human, you know, the shine wears off.
But what's so cool about this is like, eventually I won't be as curious about myself. I will have been studying myself for so long. But then naturally, I, because I'm a curious person, I will look at other people and be like, huh, and who are you? And who are you when you're being you? And what is the most, what choice are you gonna be making there? And so I don't have to worry about whether someone's hitting milestones or whatever, which is easy for me to do. I don't have kids or whatever, but still.
It's still something that would get in my way. But it's like, you become curious as to like who someone truly is. And in that we are able to lay down projections, see someone for what they really are, have a curious conversation, cause I'm not emotionally invested in their next answer. And it allows for this release of control, but also leaning in with love and curiosity, which we should do more often with other people.
Anyway, imagine how divided the world feels right now. What if we all had the ability to like lean in and get curious? What are you thinking without the emotion of anger based on the projections of that person based on whatever side they're on for whatever argument is taking place? I always just love your insights, Gina. And I do love when you're saying, at some point I would have studied myself so much that I won't be curious anymore.
And I don't know if I believe that because one of the things that I love so much about you, Gina, is like how curious you are and how there's always like a different avenue or like another layer to peel back. And I really appreciate just your curious mindset in general, whether it be for the self or with your clients or like just when you're out and about in the world. And so I find it hard to believe that you would ever reach a point where you'd be like, I'm just not curious about myself anymore. I mean, honestly, me either, because I am so interesting.
Jina Seer (49:00.264)
mean, everybody could be, you know? Totally. So Gina, tell us what we can expect in Seer Sessions. Give us a little teaser. What's coming up? OK, a couple different things. So Seer Sessions is, I really wanted to shine the light on other people and not really talk about myself. But the world just pushes me to talk about myself. I think it's my Leo North node that I'm apprehensively creeping toward. It's going to start out with
hypnotic journeys. So I re-did the take a journey to another lifetime. So that's spiffed up and I have a hypnotic journey to your higher self that's going to be coming out next week. So those things are kind of staples to me. Higher self, go there, make the connection, get to know that part of yourself, bring questions to that hypnotic track, listen to it as much as you want. And sometimes when we're at the higher self and we get information and it says, you just need to let go or you just need to blah, blah.
something that we need to embody or be. To me, that was always a hard part. Like, how do I be different? I've been trying to be different. I know this isn't right. And so to me to go experience another lifetime where that will help it make it easier for me to embody that in this lifetime. So I think they go together really, really nice of like getting some higher insights about your life, but also having a way to experience another lifetime and feel different things in your body, feel different reactions in your body, ignite these things.
So that's how I start out there. And then I'm gonna be sharing some sessions where I am in the client seat. So what I'm gonna be doing is something I've been doing kind of on the side that I doubt this would ever be a book, because the book seems awful to write and boring to put out. Having done it twice, it is a lot of work. I can't adjust to that. I mean, it seems worse than a podcast.
I mean, think podcasts are great. Definitely. I'll stick to that. Very different from podcasting. A lot more work. You can't just sit down and like, you know, kind of shoot the shit in a book. Yeah, right. Yeah, exactly. So I've been writing, trying to figure out what is my higher self? What is consciousness? What is perspective? What is the astral plane? What are spirit guides? When do we go see these things? What do these things mean? You know, like energy, high vibe, like some of this stuff, I think people just say it because it's
Jina Seer (51:22.496)
in the world, but what are we really talking about? So I've been exploring a lot of that stuff with my higher self, and I'm going to continue to do that. Exploring these kind of nebulous terms like consciousness and raising your consciousness, collective consciousness, past lives, all of that, I'm going to be getting answers from my higher self. And I will also be experiencing other lifetimes just to get different perspectives within the topic that I'm researching or looking into.
And then I have sessions with clients. So I have six podcast clients who I've been hypnotizing regularly and we go in and some of them are focusing on the higher self questions that I want to ask. And some of them have certain threads they're following, like a shift in their life or something they're trying to change. We'll follow their story. Then I'm also asking their higher self similar questions. So we'll start to see how different higher selves.
answered similar questions and see those common threads. And that'll be cool to decipher a truth, but also to see the human filter on each one to be like, this is kind of the same, but you said it like that. And you said it like that. Like, it's good for us to see that nuance. And it's going to be even more important for us to understand that nuance and observe that in the future as AI takes off and this world continues to change.
That's where I'm at. That's where I'm starting. And who knows where we'll go after that. That sounds amazing. I can't wait. I cannot wait, Gina. These explorations that I'm doing where I'm the client in the chair. So how I'll be doing it is on Tuesday, I will release a session of mine. And then on Thursday, I'll release a hypnotic track. So if people want to have a similar journey to what I did and get those same answers for themselves, they can do it on their own at home. Cool. So kind of cool.
I'm so excited about all. I'm like, I'm just very excited. You will be getting at least one download on every single episode and it will be me. I know you're gonna get so much more than that, but like, whatever you are going to get, you will be getting at least one more. I am so here for everything that you have to talk about and everything you're describing. Like this is fascinating.
Jina Seer (53:44.598)
I can't wait to get insights into you, Gina. I really can't. I'm so excited and I'm nervous to put myself in the spotlight. But when some snafu happened with some recordings and I was like, shit, I'm gonna have to be the client. It was so weird because I feel, this is my intuition. It's like, I feel some weird repulsion and then, no, this is the right thing to do actually. You're gonna have to do this. It seems like everything I want is on the other side of fear right now, which is.
That's fine. Does it feel extra vulnerable knowing you're going to be like people are going to be getting insights into you and who you are since you're usually in the driver's seat?
Jina Seer (54:23.969)
Well, I'm kind of an open book. think it would, you know what? This is actually good. I should air this out. What nerves me up the most is that people are gonna be like,
Jina Seer (54:38.561)
People are gonna think, I don't know, that it's like all bullshit, but that's true with all my work. I don't give a fuck. I'm not worried about any of it. I'm not worried about any of it. I was gonna say I'm worried. What if my answers are not right, but it's like, they're right for me. I trust my higher self so much. I don't, this is gonna be fine. We'll be fine. It will be so fine. And there anything else that you wanted to touch on or anything that you want to Okay, so.
Kind of the layout. I'm gonna do two a week. So Tuesday and Thursday, like I said, I'm gonna do that for sure through the end of the year and then kind of see how the dust settles. But just like past lives in the divine, if you take a hypnotic journey, email me and tell me how it went. I love reading your stories. Sometimes it takes me a little bit to get back, but I want to hear them. I find them so fascinating. And people are always like, you probably...
I don't care. I care. So tell me your stories when you do those sessions. I want to know. Yeah, absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to listen to all of this. I think it's going to be amazing. And people can still listen. If they're like, I need more Gina, they can still listen to Past Lives in the Divine, right? They could like double up. Past Lives in the Divine.
Yeah, I'm just going to change the name of it. okay. So, cool. Still got the old episodes. A lot of them make me cringe, but here we are being strong in this world, just showing myself. I love it. Keep it light, keep it moving. I love it. That's the mantra. Thank you, woman. This was so much better with you. Thank you for having me, Gina, and letting me chat with you and all this. love just picking your brain.
