(And How to Get It Back)

There’s a very specific kind of frustration that comes with creativity.

It’s not just “I don’t feel inspired.”

It’s more like… I used to feel something here.

  • Ideas came easily.

  • Curiosity was natural.

  • There was movement.

And now? It feels…

  • Quiet.

  • Flat.

  • Hard to access.

Here’s the part most people get wrong.

Creativity didn’t leave you. It stopped working under pressure.

What Actually Happens to Creativity

Creativity isn’t something you generate from scratch. It’s something you access. It’s a current.

And that current depends on a few conditions:

  • a regulated nervous system

  • space to think

  • low pressure

  • a sense of internal safety

When those conditions are present, ideas move.

When they’re not, creativity gets interrupted.

The Subtle Ways We Shut It Down

Most creative blocks aren’t dramatic.

They’re quiet. Like this:

  • You start overthinking ideas before they form

  • You compare yourself and stop sharing

  • You get busy and don’t notice ideas anymore

  • You feel pressure to make something “good”

And over time, your system adapts.

  • It prioritizes: efficiency, safety predictability.

  • Not the subtleties in life like intuition, imagination, creativity.

Creativity and Intuition Are Connected

One of the most important things to understand:

Creativity and intuition use the same internal channel.

When people feel disconnected from their creativity, they often also feel:

  • unsure about decisions

  • mentally noisy

  • disconnected from themselves

When that channel opens again, both return.

Ideas. Clarity. Direction.

How to Get It Back

Not by forcing it.

Not by trying harder.

But by changing the conditions.

  • reduce pressure

  • create space

  • calm the nervous system

  • allow ideas before judging them

Creativity comes back the same way it left… Quietly.

If this resonates, I go deeper into this in episode 266 of SEER SESSIONS podcast: Why You Feel Creatively Blocked + How To Fix It

In this episode, I break down:

  • why creativity feels like it disappears

  • how stress and overthinking block ideas

  • how creativity and intuition are connected

  • how hypnosis helps restore creative flow

Creativity didn’t leave you. It’s just waiting for a better environment.
