Knowing Your Purpose: Conviction, Daily Divinity, and Hypnosis
An October 2026 mid-month reflection from Jina Seer, hypnosis practitioner and creator of Seer Sessions.
What changes when you know what you want to do with your life well enough to take it seriously?
In this audio reflection for The Practice, I talk about finding conviction in my work again after a period of deep doubt. A recent trip to Las Vegas brought the change into focus: situations that once would have sent me into second-guessing no longer required much debate. I knew how I wanted to spend my time.
That’s what I’ve been thinking about. Knowing yourself, knowing your purpose, and having somewhere you want to put all that energy.
How purpose changes everyday decisions
Purpose can sound enormous. But I notice it in ordinary moments.
Do I want to spend the afternoon with these people? What helps me feel good enough to do the work I care about? Am I choosing something because I want it, or because I’m worried about what someone will think if I don’t?
In this reflection, I explore how a clearer sense of purpose has changed my relationship with those questions. I also talk about the years I spent trying to change my reactions to situations that consistently left me depleted.
You don’t have to own a business to explore this. You might be making art, changing how you show up in a relationship, or finally taking something you want seriously.
Connecting to divinity daily
I use the word divinity to describe the eternal, divine essence I believe is within us. In my own practice, connecting to it is something I feel.
That feeling can come through a hypnotic journey. It can also come while looking at the stars, noticing a tiny flower, or pausing long enough to feel part of the world around me.
In the audio, I share ways I intentionally return to that connection and invite you to consider what brings you into contact with it.
Experiencing a different perspective through hypnosis
Sometimes I can imagine how I want to behave without knowing what it would feel like on the inside.
I share an experience from a past-life hypnotic journey in which another person’s concern felt like love. In my everyday life, I would have been more likely to feel guilty for worrying them. Experiencing that difference gave me a reference for another way of responding.
This is part of what interests me about hypnosis: what an experience can show us about ourselves, and what we do with that understanding afterward.

Jina Seer (00:00.514) Hey everyone, it's Gina. Real quick, I'm dealing with some kind of allergies. Maybe it's just a couple days in Vegas, but my voice is a little scratchy. But I got my hot tea. I've got my notes. I took some notes on what I've been thinking about. The way I think this is going to progress is we're gonna end up me sharing the things I've been thinking about really in the last few months, about conviction, which I know we've talked about conviction before, mission. Purpose, your life purpose, my life purpose, the purpose of life, and what it does for us. Like when we feel like we're in that flow, we're on a mission, like in the best way. And we feel like real purpose to why we're here and what we're doing. Because that's what I've been thinking about. I wanted to say just right up front that first of all, as you know, your questions, your responses and thoughts on the things I'm Bringing to you and talking about, like I'm always curious what you have to say or the questions that you have. But even more so here, like I'm thinking about putting together something for people to intentionally explore conviction, mission, purpose, even the idea of like creativity, creative flow. So, with that in mind, me telling you that intention, if you feel like it. It would be so helpful if when you're listening, if you, if any part of it is like confusing, or you kind of find yourself even resisting, or maybe some fears come up, or maybe beliefs like someone like me can't do what I want to do, or whatever. it could be that specific. It could be just questions about maybe you're like, how do you get from A to B? How do what does knowing yourself have to do with your purpose in life? You know, maybe it's all Kind of something you haven't thought of before, whatever. I'm curious in your point of view. And so anything you want to share, even and almost especially if you're like, I think about this differently. I'm curious. And it would be helpful for me to know that, to know your questions as I'm putting together what I know to be true. And especially when I'm thinking about that, I'm also thinking about. Jina Seer (02:24.256) The hundreds of clients for sure who have come to me being like, What is my purpose in this life? And I have so many good stories and so many themes within that, within my memory of all of these sessions. And then, of course, my own journey on it. And so I think it'd be fun to kind of organize that, put that all together. Okay, what have I been thinking about? You know what? I have been thinking so much about. My trip that's coming up. I have a road trip that I'm doing. I'm gonna do kind of Williams, Arizona to Santa Monica, California on Route 66. And that'll be the last section of Route 66 for me exploring the whole route from Chicago to Santa Monica, California. So I'm gonna do that over a few days and then I'm gonna take a couple days in LA for My birthday for the last couple years, every year around my birthday, I am feeling better. But there was a time where, for most of my life, like all of my life, I looked forward to my birthday, I looked forward to getting gifts on my birthday, I looked forward to celebrating my birthday. And as things changed for me as an adult and I became disillusioned on deeper layers. It wasn't always the case. It was like such a shift for me. And like my birthday almost, I don't know, I would just get into kind of a negative spin around it. So that only needed to happen a couple years. And then I started like taking myself on trips and doing really good things for me on my birthday because I don't want to be someone who doesn't enjoy my birthday. But I'm also not gonna gaslight myself and be like, no, I do. Even though I feel like shit on the inside. I've just like. lost all ability to do that and I'm really grateful for it. And yeah, so it feels good to be doing that. And it'll feel good to be like done with this Route 66 thing. I'm most excited for the Southern California part of Route 66. I mean I'm such a desert person, of course. That would be one of the things I'm really looking forward to. But it's one of the reasons why I put that section at the end was because I knew that Jina Seer (04:49.13) I could definitely lose steam and not want to go to the Midwest and all the way to Chicago for Route 66, but I did that. But now this is just like the end bit. I'm gonna stop and see a friend. I'm so excited outside of LA. I don't know. Is that still considered LA? I don't really know. so it'll be such a good trip. And I've been thinking about that. And whenever I'm on the road and trying to keep to some routines on the road of like just sticking to my macros, sticking to my workouts and you know what I call the dailies. And that would be strength training. I strength train something. I usually go between upper and lower body and I walk at least 10,000 steps a day. I try to aim for more like 12, 15. and then I jump rope every day. And then I journal. And then, you know, there's things I do every day. And so being on the road, I really try to stick to those. because if I can stick to those and keep myself mentally and physically feeling good as opposed to going there, going on a trip, like not abiding by my sleep schedule, eating a bunch of junk, that sort of thing. I've noticed that when I come back from a trip. I always feel this creative flow. And if I haven't taken care of myself, whatever that might mean at that time in my life, it's like accompanied by this terrible mood, is how I'll put it. But it's just like this negative outlook. And no matter what, I turn these things into creative creativity. Like I just feel it. I'm I'm I consider travel an altered state of consciousness. And anytime I'm in an altered state of consciousness. Outside of my normal state of consciousness, habit, and routines, if I'm thinking about myself, if I have intentions, I can learn so much more about myself. And so much of my work, especially now, I feel like is so much about my journey. But the way I'm talking about it is trying to be, I don't know, different, more effective, whatever. And so it requires me thinking about my journey a lot. Jina Seer (07:07.134) about my clients' journeys that I'm aware of, about what they've said to me, you know, what all of that stuff. So I always get that different point of view. But if I haven't taken care of myself, it's like my mental capacity just like leans hard toward like anxious depression when I get home. So yeah, I don't know. It'll be good. I've got some cool things planned. I've been working with a coach in like a mastermind situation that's A year long, and I started that October first. And I just know it, you guys. I'm about to pop off. And when I say that, that's more like, yes, that's a bigger audience externally, but even just as much, it's almost like I wish I could just snapshot, download into your brain how much like root work I'm doing in my business. Like It's not only who's your ideal client. It's like, no, what's the journey? Where is she on my journey? How did she find me? And then from there we go into it. And it's not just, you know, whatever ideal client standard questions there are. It's like, no, what is she doing on a Friday night at 7 p.m.? How is she feeling on Sunday at 3 p.m.? And it's getting so granular. And what's cool and healing is that so much of this is my own journey. too and being able to translate that and see like how I navigate things and try to pull out like frameworks and that sort of thing. So we are doing things different behind the scenes. These roots are so far, so wide and so deep. And pretty soon it will be rolling out like externally and it'll be so fun. And just to have, you know, my podcast when it was past Lives and the Divine, and I first started out, it was 2020. So people were in an altered state of mind. They had altered time, right? They had a lot more time. A lot of people had a lot more time. And this is all in hindsight. What I experienced was my podcast, just like the numbers got really big for me. I think it was still a small podcast, but it's just me. Like my overhead is Jina Seer (09:30.934) Me, my computer and the room I work on of the internet that I use. So it doesn't take much to like make me feel very abundant. And I was able to schedule up my calendar, blah, blah, blah. And I just kept doing it. And then as I changed, you know, things would change on my podcasts, whatever. And when I looked back on it a couple of years ago, just trying to be like, okay, where do I want to go with this? I'm feeling kind of stalled out. It was really like I just couldn't see it. Like I knew why people liked it, but when it came time to like dissect that and make something out of it that was like compelling to someone who had never met me before, it was just kind of overwhelming. And so I just kept doing the work and I never really kept growing what appears in my mind as like this root system that sustains like A bigger audience, people being clients of yours for years, maybe even decades. That'd be cool at a time. And it's like, how can I do that in my own way? Because I don't want to breed dependency. Like that feels so gross to me. I don't I'm I personally am repulsed by that. I don't ever want to run something where someone feels dependent on me. I want to actually do the opposite where I'm teaching people to be empowered. To understand themselves on a level where they can understand basically any situation and how to handle it because they know themselves and how that's just like all about the reps and the repetition of it is what I mean. Like the more you do it, the more you expose yourself to these deeper layers, your deeper thoughts, the easier and easier that gets. And so to empower people would be like, yeah, I want to create a space where people can just come and do these hypnotic journeys. And in my mind, it's like way too simple. But the way I'm building it is so compelling and it makes me so excited. it's I'm so excited about it that I do not even have the time, the energy. I'm not gonna allocate the attention to shit that doesn't matter. Jina Seer (11:50.486) Or shit that pulls me off track of that. So I'm coming off a couple days in Vegas and I had met some friends there. And tangentially, there were other quote friends there from my hometown. And I was like, Yeah, that's fine. It's I do not own this city. I don't care if they're there, but like I'm not trying to hang out with them, you know, like I got my daily things I want to do, and I've been to Vegas enough times that there's things in Vegas I wanna do. so I'm not personally waiting for people that I don't really care about their let me say, what's a more accurate way to say this? They don't have great energy. They are a bad vibe. And I don't know, okay, let me just break in here. I don't know if this is like a Midwest thing. But I have never, I was so baked in that culture. I didn't even know people like this didn't exist. But because I'm on a fucking mission and I'm having a good time and I'm minding my own business and I'm focusing on myself and how I can grow this fucking empire and how we can all feel way more empowered and self-knowing and way more in control of our life and on purpose. I it doesn't I don't even have the thought process isn't even within me any anymore to be like, I don't want this tangential friend to think I'm mean, so I'm going to whatever. Wait for them to figure out what they want to do. And while I twiddle my thumbs, what in the hotel room? What should I do? You know? No, I know what I'm doing and I know what I'm up to. In general. And today. So if I don't, if you don't have great energy, I am never planning my life around you. I can be in the same room. That's fine. But like, like, for example, this guy is fine. He's nice. But I have I grew up with this dude. I used to party with him. At one point, I considered him a friend. I could not care less about this dude. And I mean that in the most neutral way. Jina Seer (14:20.394) emotionally for me. I'm not hating on him. I hope he has a great life. But I I don't enjoy his company, you know, whatever. And he in our 10 minute conversation, I haven't seen this dude in like eight years or something, he commented something negative about my outfit twice. And then he made some other joke which was at my expense, which don't get me wrong, like I think it's so fun to be roasted by people who point out blind spots like in a loving way. Like it's actually a love language of mine. But if I don't, if we're not close that I don't think you that he means like an attack by it and he's giggling while he says it, it's just I don't want to be around it. I don't. If you can't see the style. In my outfit, I am uninterested in your opinion. I think about my clothes. Not, are my friends gonna make fun of me if I wear this? No, I'm going, do I feel like fucking Gina in this? I think of everything from the hat to the fucking socks, the shoes, the belt, the scarf, the bandana. Like I'm thinking about it all. And so I don't want to hang out with people who just try to tear me down with a fucking smile on their face. And that is every almost every single person I know from the Midwest, from where I grew up in Minnesota, is like that. And being around that energy last weekend, I was like, whoa, I kind of feel bad sometimes that I like moved away and was just like, I'm never going back there. Like I used to think that kind of person was disgusting. The type of person who would move away and then look back on where they came from and they would be like, I'm better than you. I used to think that was so disgusting. Like it repulsed me. It would make me so angry when someone would do that. And now I am that. But I am better. Because in my mind, better is someone who's trying. Jina Seer (16:39.426) They're evolving, they're curious, and they aren't lacking in a way that they're unconscious of, and it results in tearing other people down. My work, my presence elevates. And it is my belief that that is superior and better experience for not just me, but everyone. That's better than the people who bring the vibe down. They're trying to be funny to fulfill their ego when no one thinks they're funny. They can't at all read the room. They can't even think of a conversation that would be uplifting between two people. Yeah, dude, I don't care if that's judgmental. I think I'm better than you. But better than you as a human? Do I deserve a better life than you? No. Absolutely not. We are equals, but the way I'm living is uplifting and the way this person is showing up is bringing the vibe down. It's not lifting. It's not elevating. It's not hopeful. It's not curious. It's not interesting. It's just not something I have time for. And I have to think about my time. There are so many things I want to do in this lifetime. I could fill three lifetimes. Three of them. I am doing more things. I have more things I want to do. That I am not doing. So I don't have time to give away the this precious time to what? Give someone a positive story to return home with from the t small town I grew up in? I'm sorry, I don't even have the capacity to care. No offense. I don't put my energy and attention to it, but I want it. Jina Seer (18:49.91) Like I want it for humanity. So it's kind of crazy, like, but it's all so easy because I'm like being around people like that, messages like that, even if it is said in jest and ha ha ha ha, so funny, I don't think it's funny. And don't get me wrong, I love it when someone I know they respect me, they respect my decisions, and they kind of clown on me or roast me. I fucking love it. It's one of my favorite things. But not like that. Like there needs to be trust there. But in that situation, I'm like, I'm out of here. Like this vibe sucks. And I'm leaving. I'm not even thinking, what is this guy gonna think of me? What is my other friend gonna think about me? I don't care. And they've known me long enough, they have their opinions about me. And they're gonna c jump to conclusions when I leave, you know? It's like I used to waffle. In situations like that. Like I remember being baked in that, surrounded by people like that, where I was like, you know, it doesn't seem like you're super into me, but you make fun of me like we're BFF. Like, I used to always be around that. And I see it as like the whole crabs in a bucket thing. Like, I'm dressing a little trendy. God forbid I put on a push-up bra. And now everybody's got something to say. You know, because I'm not in my you know what's everyone wearing in Minneapolis outfit because they all wear the same shit. So all of this is to say I used to be so brainwashed and programmed to seek their approval that I wouldn't try the hat, try the new dress, try those heels, try those pants, try those suspenders. Try that tie, try that bandana. I used to just be like, what's not gonna get me in those annoying conversations where I wanna punch his fucking teeth out, but he's standing there chuckling, you know? And I'm gonna look like I'm taking things too seriously. And what I've noticed is like when I'm in that position where I'm taking things too seriously, I'm around people I don't want to be around. When I'm around people. Jina Seer (21:16.78) That I wanna be around. Jokes land. I laugh. You know what I mean? I'm not like second guessing my outfit or like, I know that if I wear these boots, I'm gonna have to say someone, you know, 15 people are gonna say something about it to the negative, you know, which is fine. I don't give a fuck if I if we're like close like that. But we're not close like that, you know? And I used to let that stuff make. I used to let it make me doubt myself, pull me off track. And sure, does a random comment like that while I'm out socializing pull away from my mission? No, but if I can be stalking my mission, getting better for my mission, and not hanging out with people like that, I want that every single time. So I I don't know. It's just like this I this understanding of like how much conviction I've gained in my work after going through a period of massive doubt where I was just like, what's the point? Who cares? This world is on fire. Stop trying to heal yourself. You are wasting your time unless it genuinely makes you feel better. But don't do it for anyone else. Don't do it for the world. No, you know, like I was just in a really nihilistic place for like two years. You've heard me talk about it. You've heard how I was so sick of it. Like I was so low in 2023 that in 2024 I was like, I need a full ego death. And I like went on a huge a couple huge hikes. One of them was me going across the Grand Canyon alone in one day, 10 hours. One of them was me and a group of a small group of women, like four or five four other women, fifty miles across in and out of the Escalante River in southern Utah. And then I did two ayahuas weekends with a group that seemed really cool after the first one. And after the second ayahuasca journey with them, I was like, You guys are insane, and I'm concerned for the people who are here in your cult. And then I went to Egypt. Jina Seer (23:37.974) At one point, I had a patio fire, and then that required me to live with my ex-husband for like seven weeks or something like that. It I pushed myself into the deep end. And I don't recommend that. I don't think people need to do that, especially now that I like dissected and have been like, this is what worked. This is how I need it. This is the anchor I needed to hang on to. This is how I should have. been focused. And in a way, it was like I it took me a while to come out of it, but I wanted to feel convicted about my work. I wanted to feel feel this, I just love it when when I feel like I'm good at my job. Everyone needs this. Only some people are smart enough to know they need it. And I get to work with those smart people. When I'm full heart mind and body in that camp. Like I literally do not care about anything else. Like I am so happy being at my desk, so happy going on hikes, thinking about work, logging notes, making voice notes. Like it's all I want to do. The more I do that, the more I grow into a gritty, self-knowing, expressive, convicted, bad motherfucker. And that's who I want to be. And that's what I'm using it all for. And when I can get into that space, everything else is easier. I'm not sweating. Should I be hanging out with this person or not? Because you've heard me say this a million times if you've been in my orbit for a while. No one knows what happens when we die. No one can tell us why we're here. No one. There's even If you're an evolution person, there's even like gaps that don't make sense. So no one knows. There's theories. But what we believe creates our experience. So I want to believe my experience is, and I believe, that having a mission comes from knowing who I am and my purpose in this life. And so with that. Jina Seer (26:04.202) Everything else gets easier. All the shit I was trying to do when I was healing, it just doesn't even matter. I would hang out with people like him so often when I lived in Minnesota. When you get clear on where you're going, what you're up to in this life, boundaries become easier, habits become easier to drop or lock in, gets clear on what to drop and lock in. And then to drop and lock into those habits, how are you going to do it? All that stuff gets easier when you have this knowing of yourself and your mission and your purpose in this life. You knowing you, and you knowing this purpose that this life you came here to create, that's your mission. And that will tell you: should I leave this relationship or not? Does it serve the mission? Does it serve you? Every single person who's gonna hear this audio. You, you, your purpose, your mission, it's going to serve this planet for good. Highest and greatest good. And I mean good. It like we're all growing, we're all evolving. We're not punishing people for no reason. We're not able to be manipulated. We are in our true divine essence, working with the gifts we were given. To help this planet. No one here is like, I'm gonna, you know, exploit the earth or humans and you know, profits over people. That's not what I'm saying. And I'm also not saying profits are bad. Like we need more spiritual people, more good people with a lot more money. Which I think knowing yourself, knowing your purpose, being in your mission and on fire. And that doesn't, you don't have to be an entrepreneur to feel that way. You don't even have to be working to feel that way. This is about who you are. But here's the thing, you've been baked in this culture. So there's a part of you that's very keenly aware. Could I make money off of this? And I don't think that's a bad thing. And I think you should play with that thought. Jina Seer (28:22.25) And don't do what people do when they get into healing. They feel bad about the money, then they give the healing away for free. You're creating negative karma for your client. You're pouring all this is not just about this hour or two hours. It's about all of your learning. Everything everyone taught you, everything you learned the hard way, everything you taught yourself gets dumped or discounted when we give this shit away for free. That ain't the world we live in. I don't know about you, but they only take money at my grocery store. That's it. They're not doing readings in the back. You know, I can't give a healing and get my sourdough bread. So that's the world we live in. But a lot of people, you cannot make money by not charging money. You cannot make money by being afraid to talk about it, by being afraid to collect it. And The more I lean into those feelings within me, because trust me, I had those same issues. We gotta find a way around them. You gotta lean into them, you gotta figure them out. You will, I did. People do use hypnosis for that clarity. But that's the other thing too. The more I learn about myself, the more I understand my purpose and my mission in this life, the more I understand energy, energetics, energetic exchanges. Like me being around someone from the hometown, it doesn't do anything for me. And I tell you, they don't want to be around a peop person like me either. People who are just doing the same shit, same complaints, same bullshit, same goals, same wishes, same wants, year after year, decade after decade. Trust me when I say they are uncomfortable and don't want to be around someone who's evolving. Someone who's evolving. is getting used to at the very least they're getting used to being uncomfortable because that's what you need to evolve. So you know like to check a box, to be able to go back to your hometown and be like, I saw so and so, no one's seen them in years. That game of telephone, which always gets fucked up, always, used to drive me crazy. Like needing to manage that narrative and Jina Seer (30:50.214) Now I'm like, with my mission, with what I'm up to, I notice immediately when I'm ducking back into that old way of thinking. It's like, whoa, dude. No, we drive the car like this now. Fucking pedal on the gas. Look through the windshield. Don't be looking out the fucking side window. Don't be looking out behind you. Don't be checking the rearview mirror too much. Forward. And then it's not like, I feel bad that I'm not putting up with this person anymore. No, I am up to bigger and badder things. And that's uncomfortable to people. But you know what's even more uncomfortable for me? Living by their fucking rules. And I think when I say it like that, people are like, yes, of course. But it's in the moment that that stuff is hard. It's like in the moment where Alex was actually with me in Vegas and we were. At the hotel we were staying at. And I was, we were at the bar. And I'm like, I just want to have a bloody Mary. Like, I haven't had a bloody Mary since the last time I was in Vegas. I'm just craving one. I'm gonna kick it at this bar and like, I don't know, maybe do some writing, look at some of my notes from other things. It's just travel, you know, you're kind of like one thing to the next. I s I like to be introspective. And Alex is like, Yeah, okay, cool. We'll have a drink. And then he sat down and then he's like, okay, let's go meet everybody else. They were watching a football game. I don't care about football. And I've I'm fucking old enough to know that when people care about football and they watch football, they're watching football. They're not hanging out with people. I mean, they are, but they're all watching football. So me going there, what I don't want to do is watch people I don't care about watch of sport I don't care about. Like I think it's disturbing how we all sit in a position of lost ambition in front of a big black box for hours every night. I mean, it's insane to me. So, no, I'm in Vegas. I don't want to sit in front of a big black box. Now, if we're in a sports lounge and there's shit going on, who cares? Right. But like, I don't need to watch, I don't, I don't need to watch football with these people. And in that moment, Alex was just trying to like. Jina Seer (33:12.568) Keep the group together, because that's what he does, right? And so he's like, come on, let's go. And I'm like, no, I'm dead ass serious. I'm gonna sit here and have another drink by myself. Like I want to. I would love it if you went to meet them so they can stop chirping about it. So I think in the past, in those situations, people would almost look at me like, is this a trap? But I don't play games. Like, I'm not. trying to get anyone to feel a certain way. I'm trying to enjoy myself. And that's not sitting at some weird little chain restaurant in front of a corner TV with a bunch of people I don't know. And the people I do know, I'm not thrilled about hanging out with. So he's like, okay, got it. He finally got it. But he was like working on me for like 10 minutes. I'm like, bro, I'm not going. I'm not going. And in those moments though, before I was so convicted. in my mission, knowing my purpose of this life, I would kind of like falter. Like, yeah, I should go, you know, show face, hang out with them. Why? Are they paying my fucking bills? Are they giving me anything in return? I know my energy. I fucking bring the vibe. If I'm in a bar with you, as long as you're not the worst person in the world, I'm keeping the vibe up. I'm not being weird. I'm not talking about Something that's bringing down the vibe. I'm not, you know, I'm I'm naturally who people need me to be. So it's like I'm good for their. I guarantee you, I bring up the vibe of most groups that I go into in that situation, especially like super negative crabs in a bucket from the hometown who are watching a sport. I'm the only one leaking energy in that situation. Like I In that sense of like I chose not to be in that life. I literally sacrificed every single relationship except two of them. Jina Seer (35:21.1) I like I am not around those people anymore on purpose. And it used to be something the last few years that would make me falter, it would make me doubt myself. Am I being too hard on them? Why can't I just be go with the flow? Why can't I just show up and have a good time? It's like I'm having a good time. And like I call me weird, but like I love being on an airplane. I love sitting alone at a bar. I love my tolerance is like nothing because I never drink. So it's like I have a drink and I'm like. Going slow, I'm feeling it. It takes me like a half hour to drink it, or I don't even know, something like that. But it's like I'm like thinking about life and writing for work and I get ideas. So it's like that's my joy. And this is my trip. I spent my money to come here. So why am I even thinking about someone else? and that might sound kind of I don't know, like kind of harsh or like I don't care. No, that that's how I feel. And I will tell you, I have no interest in talking shit about this man. I could. I could spend hours. I could get you to hate him. Okay. I do not care about him. I do not care about those people in the past in the sense of like, I am not using my energy to care. But on a I don't know, intellectual level, I want everyone to be thriving. I want everyone to be doing a little better than they thought they would do at this time in their life. That's genuinely how I feel. And if me being so obsessed with being so embodied in the conviction I feel and knowing my purpose and having a clear vision of my mission and where I'm going. It just, I don't have any doubt in my mind. And it makes me love myself even more. And it makes me act like I love myself even more. Right. I'm not like making decisions today that are going to alter my ability tomorrow to show up and do work. I'm not going to spend my time with people who just vampire drain all the energy out of me and I can't control it because I can't give my energy away like that. Jina Seer (37:47.542) I can't do it. When my energy goes down, I start turning on myself. I get really negative. Self-criticism. Creativity dries up. Desire to do my work dries up. It doesn't matter to me if that Gina is more kind and more appealing to the people from the hometown, from Minnesota, from my past. Like, I don't care. I trust. I wish it was different. I want. To be someone who talks to my parents. I want to be someone with a good relationship to my sisters. But at the end of the day, the only way they allow that is if I am playing by their rules. And I spent at least 15 years trying to what I call what I thought of as healing. Really, what I was trying to do is get rid of all my triggers and desires to not be around these people. To be like every time I come home from spending time with this person or that person, I literally need three days by myself. Like I I literally need to like build up my self-confidence and my energy. I don't have time for that. Are you kidding? With everything I want to do, you guys, I don't have time for TV. I don't have time for people like that. And I want the best for them. And trust me, if I could heal myself into a relationship with them where I could thrive, I would have done it. I would have done it. Like it's almost embarrassing how much time and money I spent trying to be a better daughter and sister. It's one of the things I'm most ashamed of. Like, I I'm not even gonna talk about it because it's like it's so egregious what I did to myself. And so that's part of it. It's like, how do I take the people who were in my orbit in the name of healing, like me? And how do we up level the fuck out of this? And I'm not saying like, Jina Seer (40:01.482) The people who aren't perfect or the people who bring you down, you have to cut them out of your life. I'm absolutely not saying that. Obviously, if you have kids, like that's a whole different dynamic. if you don't want to leave your partner and their eons away from this mindset, it's just more work for you. But I don't know, maybe that's your purpose. Lead these motherfuckers. What I do know is that I have. I love like the study of humans, behavior, how people, you know, how trends work, that sort of thing. And it's always starts with the women. Change happens when women just start doing it. And so, yeah, if someone from my past is like, Gina's too good to hang out with us and come home, that's so disgusting, blah, blah, blah. Which I would have I was that person. I don't think I'm too good. I'm just on a fucking mission. Jina Seer (41:07.36) So when I think back to this idea of being on a fucking mission, I really want this to be something in my work. Like right now, I'm really building the foundation on social media, like learning how to talk to people who aren't really aware of like hypnosis. Of course they know about it, but do they know about the kind that I do? Journeying to other lifetimes, higher self, life between lives, connecting to people on the other side, experiencing entities. I'm going back. That's where I started in 2019 when I started my podcast. And so I am going back. I have to learn how to talk to her again. The woman who's brand new to all of this. when I started my podcast eight years ago, was that eight? Seven twenty nineteen, seven years ago. that's why I started it. But I evolved, and my work is very much me, but I feel like I have evolved to a space where it's like, I see some things that have changed on the inside. I have this perspective now where it's like I can see how I've always been searching for. That feeling of conviction, that feeling of knowing my purpose and being on a mission with it. And any time where I feel depressed in my life or incredibly anxious, I am in incongruent with that mission, with that knowing with my purpose. And I want to be able to, and I am putting it all together into. kind of different frameworks of like what do I do? And how do I get, how did I get there? Like how did I go from being passionate about my work to evolving to in like 2023 just feeling really low, doubting myself, and then really cranking that up in a couple ways, like for the better and for the worse in 2024. 2025, I feel like I was really recalibrating and now I'm like, Jina Seer (43:31.03) What was that metamorphosis? Because I know what it was from the inside, but if I can distill down the little things that I did and make it impactful for people to even just like watch a reel about it on Instagram. Like they don't even have to do a hypnotic journey. Like you can change your perception, you can change your awareness in a moment with a story, with a different point of view than you're used to. So I've been really thinking in that space too. I'm not creating for that yet, but I definitely do get ideas. And all of my ideas, I always email them to myself and then I put them in folders. And then when I'm ready to work on that thing, I go to that folder and I'm like, look at all these good ideas. And when I go through the emails that I had emailed myself, sometimes it's literally like over a year from the first time I get an email about it. Then I'm almost like It's like that process makes me even more convicted to this magic. Because I'm like, I've always known this. I just keep getting little snippets, little snippets, little snippets. And pretty soon it makes a whole picture. And it almost seems like once that picture comes together, then life comes together. And then I'm like, I have everything I need to create this thing. So some of the things though that I've been thinking about, even though I don't have like a program for it. I think that connecting to what I call divinity daily is necessary for this to know yourself. Divinity, you are divine. You're a spark of humanity. You're an eternal spark. You're eternal energy. And I believe that it's from a divine source, a benefic creative force, however you see that. We need to connect to that daily. So I'm talking about a feeling. So try to connect to the feeling of it. Like to me, in a hypnotic induction, that's what that's what I'm getting you to do. We connect to that divine light. We bring it down into your body. We connect to your roots, which then connect us to the earth. We start going into that flow of energy with the earth. Jina Seer (45:49.784) Then we connect to our own soul's energy, expanded out all around us, protecting us, keeping us safe, cleansing us from any attachments, hopefully, any influences. It's from that space that you are totally divinely balanced. And if you're anything like me and so many of my other clients, when you're in that space where we expand that light that you are out around you. And you're just floating. And then eventually you expand that light out even farther until it's one with everything, you know, all the energy that you are, all the energy that is around you, all become one. Like that's the feeling. It's the same feeling to me as like when I am quiet and I look up at the stars, like in my backyard, or if I'm brave enough to be on a trail in the dark. It's where like sometimes when I get really close to a little flower or I see really beautiful sunrise or sunset, like I mean, I get this stuff, it's sprinkled throughout my entire day. But I would say connect to it intentionally daily, as often as you can, but for sure connect every day. So even if it is just once. And that can look a million different ways. if that spurs questions in you, let me know because I'll and I'll talk about it. I'll go elaborate more. Or if you have a way where you're like, I'm already doing that. I want to know, like, how are you doing that? And then maybe you're not doing it every day. Would you do it every day? Could you? of course, you can connect to that divinity, like I said, in a hypnotic journey, but you can also take your memory of that hypnotic journey, bringing in that light from the divine source, connecting to the earth, connecting to your own energy, sending your own energy out and around you. You even just walking through that in your brain, you could do that while you're driving, do it with your eyes open, obviously. You could do it while you're standing in line somewhere, you could do it while you're whatever, standing in your kitchen, waiting for the coffee to make. So think about those things, connect to that energy, but feel it in your body, like replicate that feeling. If you've connected to divinity, which you have on these hypnotic journeys, like feel what that feels like when you're with your higher self. Jina Seer (48:13.292) So another thing that you can do is like plant a divinity practice like in the morning and before bed. I kind of think of it as like a prep and then a cleaning off. So whether it's a walk outside or you're just quiet, breathing deep, like going within yourself. Maybe you're walking yourself through something we did in a hypnotic journey that really made you feel in a positive way, and you can kind of bring that in your body. But you're gonna be able to With this mindset, move through your day and see where you feel that connection to divinity. And I honestly think that's the first part because it's you. You're connecting to you when you go outside and you smell a bush or a flower or you appreciate, you know, the color of a leaf or flowing water or clouds in the sky or whatever. If you do that, like intentionally, purposefully. fully in your body. Like you're not checking the time, you're not worrying about if someone's waiting for you. You can feel that appreciation come back to you from that thing. Like sometimes if I need it, I'll like stop and look at a little flower, you know, just like this weed, you know. And if I can pause and really look at it, if I'm intentional, I can feel Like so much of that divinity that it almost makes me weep. It's really, yeah, I just think the more we do it, the more intentional we are around it, the more of that we can get into our life, and the more we're in connection to it, feeling it in our body. It not only feels good in that moment, but it teaches us who we are, what's really important. And if you have questions about your purpose, your mission. Things about yourself you're trying to figure out, bring it to the front of mind. And as you're moving through your day, think about these questions. See what thoughts come in about these questions. Bring the pervasive questions that you cannot get an answer to. Bring that to a hypnotic journey the next time we do one. And we'll be doing that pretty much every month in the monthly gathering. So that'll always be an opportunity. And even though we always kind of explore a question or a topic. Jina Seer (50:38.404) you can always, there's always space to bring like your own question, like something more specific to you. Another thing I want to say as we creep up on this hour mark is that if you are in that space where you're like, yeah, I feel like I'm getting to know myself, I'm getting to know what I want, and that sort of thing, we're always, not always, cancel that out of your brain. It's really common to we want something and we envision it. And when we try to go get it or we try to be it or we try to make it happen, we run into obstacles. Maybe it's like someone, someone's free will is getting in the way. Maybe it's fear. Maybe you're like, wait, I want to do this, but I don't know how to do this. for me, something that always comes up is how does this person that like if I wanna do this thing and I have this vision of this amazing. Brilliant, gritty woman who I want to be. And if I'm on my way to becoming her, sometimes it's like I just need to know more about how she feels on the inside. I only know how I feel on the inside. So, like, how do people change their perspective without reading a book, a biography? How do they change their perspective without going to another lifetime in hypnosis? I don't know, but that's how I do it. So If there's an obstacle, if you're like, shit, I just have to be a different way. That's it. Like, this is what I want. This is the schedule. This is the work I have to do to get what I want. And this is going to be hard. My next question is always: who do I need to be to make it worth it? Who do I need to be? Like on Instagram, who do I need to be? How can I make myself better just by playing this game? So when you have that in your mind, that When I get that in my mind and I'm clear on it, if it's like specific qualities, like I don't want to be so influenced by my partner's feelings or my assumption about their feelings. I just want to be me, go about my life. That was something that I was struggling with one time. And I went and I experienced a lifetime where I was feeling all kinds of grief. And then someone was like worried about me and I had been gone all night because I was grieving. And Jina Seer (53:01.96) Gina in this life would have been like, my gosh, I'm in trouble. I'm sorry I did that. I'm sorry to make you worry. And me in that life, I was just like appreciative that they were worried about me. And I didn't feel in it at all in trouble. Cause I was like, I'm grieving my mentor. So yeah, I've been over here all night. But it was nice to feel the love and concern from them. Where Gina in this life would only feel like, fuck, I did something wrong by them and now I've inconvenienced them. But it wasn't until I was able to like feel what it feels like to be a different person without that programming. and going to another lifetime in hypnosis is so it it has created so much change in me in becoming someone who has greater capacity for my emotions. Someone who can feel all the emotions that I feel and still not be swept up and still remain on purpose, on mission, in alignment with who I am and what I want. For so long, like I said, I was on a healing journey, trying to calm these truths within me and these like emotional reactions of being in the wrong place, being out of alignment. And when I really started to get to know myself and Really dig in and like what are the parts that I can't change? How am I going to use these to my advantage? How am I going to walk forward being someone who's just programmed to be codependent? The only way I can get myself out of that programming is to act differently, is to put myself in similar situations and act differently. It's to see when I did not act differently, was in my old overgiving habits, overcompensating habits, over-explaining habits, and being in the discomfort of it. I'm not gonna just brush it under the rug and walk the other way. no, I'm going to examine it. Why did I do that? That felt so gross. And I'm gonna learn everything from that point in time. What did I do differently? Or what can I do differently? What got me off track? Jina Seer (55:21.112) Was it the type of person? Was it the environment? Was it just my constitution? Was I low on sleep? Was I taking care of myself for that time before that? But I can't be different if I don't study the times I'm in it when I don't want to be in it, what got me there? And then to know, like I just have to act and be different. So for me, that's like I said, hypnosis to other lifetimes and reading like biographies. You can always Google or whatever, however, you search your information, but like think about what you're doing. Like, are you becoming a different wife, mother, friend? Are you building something that is only yours, whether it's an entrepreneurial empire or a small art project that you're working on? Like if you can get clear on that. And you can account for what's going to be difficult about this for you, then you can just continue to account for what might happen, how you might get off track, keep acting differently, keep doing the things that help you stay on track. When you get off track, really be in it, really study it, really understand it. How did you get there? You're more evolved than that. What pulled you back in that little eddy? You know what I mean? But so often we just don't. We just want life to change. We want it to feel different, but we don't want to get to the heart of like who we are. Why are we here? What's the purpose? And then get in your mission. Cause if it doesn't serve the mission, it doesn't serve you, then be a scout. And you don't have to worry about a weird conversation. You don't have to be like, I'm sorry, I don't hang out with people like you because you bring my vibe down and I would rather feel lifted and elevated and lighthearted. I don't want to feel defensive and like I want to punch your fucking face. But when it comes time to set that boundary, it's like, no, sorry, I can't do that because I'm up to these other things. I'm at the gym, I'm going on a run, I'm taking a walk, I'm journaling, I'm breathing deep. Jina Seer (57:42.198) I'm enjoying the sun in my backyard. I'm whatever, sitting here having a bloody merry enjoying my own company. Like what ever? Everything gets clearer. And I need that because I used to have so much self-doubt. I used to never take what I wanted seriously. I never took how my body felt seriously. I always wanted to feel different. I always wanted different results. The moment I was uncomfortable, I was never convicted enough to know why I was uncomfortable. And so I used that discomfort to pull me off track. Maybe this isn't it. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. Maybe I should just try to be a person who does this instead. No. When we know who we are, we know what we're doing here. What's the purpose of this life? Me in this life, my gifts in this life. Then I can get into that mission. And if it serves me, it's serving the mission. All right. Sometimes I almost like wake up to it and I'm like, I'm yelling at these people. You know, it's just passion. sometimes I'll meet someone new, or it'll be like a romantic situation where I'm not talking about work, obviously, so I'm not that passionate. And then when I do start talking about work, I'll be like, I'm just passionate, man. It's my Aries moon. I'm not mad about it. and I really am just so focused on myself that and bringing good to the world through this vessel that I am, that I'm not sweating these like weird boundaries. I don't have to explain that someone's offensive. I'm up to different stuff, you know. I don't have time for a lot of bad habits. I mean, I'm not against bad habits, I'm not against indulging now and then, I'm not against like partying your fucking face off. But if we know who we are. Jina Seer (59:43.306) and how to feel our best and how to fulfill our purpose. And we are on a mission. All of that stuff just more automatically goes into alignment. We change our vision, those bad habits, that bad option that you used to choose, you're not even looking at it. You're facing in the other direction. You're becoming someone else. Tell me what you think about this. I want to know. What do I want to know? I want to know if any of that doesn't make sense. Or what part of that? Knowing yourself, knowing your purpose, knowing your mission. Do you feel that way? Is it confusing? And then I'm also curious about the idea of connecting to your divinity, who you are, that eternal energy, every single day. Do you do it? If you were going to do it, do you have a practice? Like, do you know how to do that? Is that practice like, whoa, Gina? What are you even talking about? Let me know. I can't wait to hear it. it will influence some things that I do. Just like anytime I hear y'all's point of view. I like to hear it because I'm cooking this meal for you and for other people. So we can like. grow this community and we can just prove to ourselves that this world is actually filled with a lot of people who are like evolving, they're growing, they're changing, they're making this world better. Like I, that's the world I want to live in. And so that's the world that I'm literally building. And I am not attached to the idea of being understood, certainly not at this point in the creation process. So any questions I would love to hear. Thank you for being here with me. Jina Seer (01:01:40.406) And mostly I just want to say thank you so much for being here with me. Like this, I love recording these for you guys. It's so fun for me to take a glimpse back, share things with you, hear what you're thinking about it. It's just, you know, I love these conversations. So thank you so much for being here, for listening. Let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing day. And remember, we'll be together on the 25th if you want to come. Otherwise, I'll share the replay. And that is for questions. Questions after the last hypnotic journey. Questions about this recording? Questions about really anything on this journey of like getting to know yourself, knowing your purpose, feeling like you're on a motherfucking mission. All right, y'all. Enjoy your day.
