I need to invite a friend to discuss these things with me. I just can not speak on and on by myself on this camera. It's coming but not in this one. While I was editing this week's episodes I had my little Mr Man sleeping on the day bed in my office. It's really peaceful working while hearing him snore, moan, and groan. These are the days. This is the life :)

Hey everyone, it's Jina. You're listening to Seer Sessions. Each week for the rest of the year, there's gonna be a theme and within that theme, I'm gonna tell you why I chose that theme, how to use these hypnotic journeys. And then there's gonna be three hypnotic journeys each week available to you to dive deep into that theme. So this week we are going from anxious feelings to feeling peace, clarity, confidence, even like a lighthearted curiosity about life. Even when life gets like,
heavy. Now, I am saying this, but I am not a doctor. I am not telling you to do one thing or not with your medications, with your mental health. All I'm saying is that I am someone who has struggled consciously and unconsciously with anxious feelings my entire life. And the thing that has helped me the most is hypnosis. But hypnosis is like the bedrock for me. It's really the place where I go figure out like why these things are happening to me.
gain wisdom and clarity about how I can move forward. Me, Jina, what makes this energy happy in this earth suit is not what society wants me to do. So society wants me to get a corporate job and get married and have kids and essentially shut the fuck up. And that is a recipe, even marriage for me is a recipe for anxiety and depression. I want to follow society's lead.
That definitely is the path of least resistant, at least as I can conceptualize it. But when I'm living that life with those traditional things, I personally feel stifled, anxious, whatever. And not that that's your story, but we all have, most of us listening to this podcast, I would imagine, have a pretty good life in terms of like how shitty life can be. And so at least at the very least,
we can maybe see like, I've created this great life and I'm still harboring all these negative, heavy feelings that are holding me back. And that's really what this week is all about. So here's what this is going to look like. You'll be exploring moving away from anxious feelings and toward peace, clarity, confidence, curiosity. And you're going to have chances to do that. You can do that in tomorrow's episode. I have a journey to another lifetime that's designed to help you experience that today.
Jina Seer (02:22.359)
and then today, see, feel things differently. So you can not only feel more peace and clarity after that hypnotic journey, but also come away with knowledge, insights, maybe even some next steps as to like how to continue down that path. And then the episode after that, we're gonna take a hypnotic journey to your higher self. Now I call your higher self, to me what that energy is, it's the eternal energy of you.
So this energy of me that's animating this body is eternal. When this body stops working, that energy leaves and that consciousness changes and it's a different experience. Just like when I was born, my consciousness changed into this experience, into this body. Now with that, I believe that we can access the eternal wisdom within that eternal energy that we actually are. Now you might see this as a soul.
You might see this as a branch off the collective. I see it as kind of a branch off the collective, but also this really wise, calm, peaceful version of me. The part of me that holds all the wisdom of all my lifetimes, all of my lessons learned. So that is the source, that is the intention. So we do the hypnotic journey, we get to that place.
of your higher self energy. And we ask all kinds of questions about the anxious feelings you have. What can you know about them? What can you understand about them? How can you take that information and move forward? What are some next steps, some action steps, some shifts you can make? What are some things that you do that contribute to those anxious feelings? And with that in mind, what can you do to essentially have an antidote to those feelings? What can you do to nourish yourself, to lift yourself up, to change your perspective?
So it's not only about that experience of that hypnotic journey and getting that information, but it's about getting even more information of like, and what this means for your future and what can you do next with that. And another thing that's so cool about the hypnotic journey to your higher self energy is that that wisdom, your inner guidance, it's always there. It's always talking to you. But a lot of times we don't, we can't like really tune into the subtlety of it.
Jina Seer (04:44.858)
But when we go into that hypnotic trance state, your mind is incredibly quiet, your body is quiet, you've removed all kinds of distractions in your environment so you can have that experience, you get a clear taste of what that inner guidance sounds like, the perspectives, the angles, the facets of it. And it's not only great in that session and the information you get, but having that knowledge and that connection to your inner guidance,
serves you for the rest of your life. I mean, as long as you wanna pay attention to it, after that journey, it'll be even more clear to you what that voice is and what that voice sounds like and kind of the flavor of the decisions that it makes. And that'll help you effortlessly and automatically for the rest of your life in every decision that you make. And with that, every time you experience your higher self energy, it gets even more potent.
even more clear, even more undeniable in your everyday life, which is so cool. So it's not only that journey, but it's like the practice of journeying like that is also will shift your trajectory to just more expanded awareness, more wisdom, more inner peace, a higher consciousness, a consciousness elevated above your own bullshit, like I like to say.
And then the third hypnotic journey every week is a directive hypnotic track. So what that means is you do the hypnotic induction, just relax and listen to it. Your subconscious mind is open. We evoke some positive feelings within our body just to really activate that, build that mind-body connection between emotions that you want to feel and being able to feel even more of that. And then from there, we go into the affirmations, the hypnotic suggestions, all about you moving.
from these anxious feelings and moving to a state of more peace, more clarity, clarity about who you are, where you're going in life, what this life is about, what decisions you're making, and then also curiosity, a lightheartedness, and then in all of that, just more confidence in you showing up, not doubting yourself, feeling confident, stepping forward, feeling a lightness about it, seeing challenges more so as like,
Jina Seer (07:02.466)
Instead of something to hold you back, look at a challenge and think, how am going to use this to become who I'm becoming? Or how am going to use this to create the life I came here to create? Now, what's so cool about the directive hypnosis track is that all you do is listen to it as you're falling asleep at night. When you go to sleep at all times, your subconscious mind is there. It's always listening. It's always observing. It's always directing.
And so in this space, we access your subconscious mind. So even if you're falling asleep, you're still getting these hypnotic suggestions. So I'll go even more into that during the intro of that episode, but my recommendation is for you to listen to that every night for 30 nights. And what that does is it makes these subtle subconscious shifts and to have that reminder every night.
you start to see how much these subconscious changes are influencing your life in a positive way. And so it's not only a cool practice to do for a month just to see what happens and the positive changes that come your way. It's just such an impactful way to make those profound shifts in our life and to listen to it every night for 30 nights is just a really cool way to watch these subconscious changes.
kind of bloom and unfold in your life over such a big chunk of time. In all of the show notes of every episode, I have my email address. So have an experience. would, if you want someone to talk about it with, definitely send it to me via email. It takes me a few days to respond most of the time, but I do read them all. will respond to you. So please let me know. I want to know how this lands for you. And especially because I plan on doing more hypnotic journeys like this.
I wanna know if there's like another angle that would work really good for you. Or if you're like, hey, with my anxiety, it's this way. Can you talk about it like that? Like that whole conversation is really fun for me. I never think that I have all the answers. Really on my journey, I'm just like, here's where I'm at. That's where I was. You wanna avoid that? Here's what I would recommend. And so that's where we're at. I'm not a doctor. I'm not telling you to do one thing or not with your mental health. Whatever you do there is your own business.
Jina Seer (09:17.095)
but to reflect and get to know yourself and what works for you will always benefit you, no matter what expert, doctor, healer, or whatever that you're working with. So I picked this theme to kick it all off because I'm someone who has experienced anxious feelings, consciously and unconsciously, my entire life. And so for me, hypnosis is the thing that has worked the best to like shift that.
move me away from those things, give me insights, clarity, wisdom on the decisions I'm making in everyday life that unconsciously contribute to me feeling even more like that. It's so, so valuable. So if I were to label it as like anxiety for me has been the reasons I've played small, I've run away from relationships and situations, things that not necessarily that I should have stayed or should have done things differently.
But I can see now that that was a trauma response that I don't want to repeat. And so even though there will be situations and relationships that I leave in the future, I want them to be because of my intentional, clear, confident knowing of what is for me. Not like, I'm freaking out, I just gotta run, know, which is where I have been for most of my life. And that...
to me has changed my life. It has changed how I trust myself, what I believe I'm capable of. And in all of that, that completely changes the things I commit to, what I see as an opportunity, what I see as a challenge. And all of that is my life. And so I'm relating to my life completely different. And so I wanna take this potent theme and just kick it off and give it to you all and see how much it helps you.
For me, my anxious feelings were something that used to really hold me back and make me feel even more resentment and frustration. And now it's just simply a signal from my body. And it's not something that I need to freak out even more about. It's not something that needs to derail my day unless I find it to be the thing that I want to do. But when we're in these heightened emotional states, it's even more important that we have that clear connection.
Jina Seer (11:40.16)
to ourselves, to our clarity within that emotional storm. And so that's my hope too with this journey. When it comes to my anxious feelings, yes, hypnosis is the biggest thing that's moved the needle, opened doors to other opportunities, opened doors to insight, wisdom that has like changed decisions, changed how I show up in my life. But in addition to that, like hypnosis of course, self-reflection just...
in general. So whether that's a writing practice, a journaling practice, meditation, daily or nearly daily, just check in, reflect on your life. It seems like it doesn't matter. It seems like a waste of time, but we process things like that. A lot of times people go to therapy once a week or once a month. They don't ever process their life until they get there. So that used to be my practice. And not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't think there's a bad way to process your life, but
But when we're dealing with these anxiety-like feelings, it's nice to have this pressure valve that gets released. It gets released just a little bit every day or nearly every day. And that's really what a writing practice is for me. Another thing that's really helped is this idea of expanding my capacity for enduring grit.
I've noticed that the more I push myself in mileage, in elevation, on the trails, the less anxiety I have anywhere else in my life. And it's just kind of like, because I start my day and some parts of my hike are incredibly challenging, I come out of that and it's like, am I sweating? Do I have a backpack on? Am I on a 20 % incline? I'm fine.
Like, these things are not stressing me out. I'm not stressed out because this person's unhappy with me. I'm not stressed out because this thing didn't go my way. Like, it's fine. Again, I'm like elevated above my own bullshit. And a book that really helped me put words to that whole phenomenon that's been occurring in my life over a couple years is called The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter. It's such a good book, such a good book about...
Jina Seer (13:51.964)
expanding your capacity for like enduring and hard times. in that book, he even draws the connection between not having that grit and that ability to endure. It's something that we've kind of evolved out of because we live in a temperature controlled area. We, you know, wear the right clothes. We're in a car. We're wearing shoes. We just have insulated ourselves from discomfort, which feels really good. But he's been able to draw this connection in that book that
that is kind of related to our ability to feel more anxious like feelings, more depressed feelings is this inability to endure this not feeling gritty feeling just like a big baby who's always uncomfortable the moment it's not dry and 74 degrees, you know? And anyway, you wouldn't think they were related, but I've been feeling that so much in my own life, moving to Arizona, hiking so much. I hike every day.
And so I've been feeling that and then reading that book recently, just put words to it, essentially. So if that's interesting, do you check that out? What else has helped my anxiety is just a, like a general dedication to switching my thoughts the moment I can. So I used to a lot of times think like, that worked for them, but it won't work for me. And I really felt that that was really true. And
Now I'm seeing, even though I can't think of one particular thing, it's like, just don't think of it like that in my life anymore. Now I'm like, what do I want? it seems impossible. they've done it? What did they do? And now I'm studying what they did to get there. And it's less about, can I do what they did? And more about, I'm observing what they did and seeing what fits in my life for what I want and where I'm going. And there's a brutal honesty in that.
There's an awareness of my thoughts. And when I'm thinking small and when I'm thinking that I can't do it or I'm being incredibly resentful or overly fearful or worrisome, I notice. And as tiny and like it wouldn't matter, when I notice those thoughts, I actively pay attention to them. And if there's no nuggets of wisdom there, which there usually isn't,
Jina Seer (16:15.804)
actively change the subject in my brain. I turn on an audiobook, I turn on a podcast, I sit down and go to work like if I've taken a break from work and my mind is wandering, I will intentionally focus on something else. And sometimes I have to put my body in a different space, get it moving into a different space, sit at a desk, sit somewhere else. And sometimes it really is just actively, I'm going to not think about that.
And I'm going to think about this, right? I'm not trying to see the world like that anymore. I'm not trying to see the, I'm not trying to be naive, but I'm not trying to see the world as something that makes me frustrated, resentful. I want to see the world as a place that I thrive and there's opportunities for me. Like, why wouldn't I want that? I mean, there's just as many challenges as there are opportunities. You know, the equal and opposite is always true. And so why wouldn't I take the positive route?
So for me, that's really a daily practice is like when I notice I'm having a lot of these like negative stuck heavy thoughts is to notice it and not be like, yeah, it's true. Like I used to kind of rally around them and get myself fired up. And now I'm like, is that true though? Is that true? Can I see it differently? Are other people doing it differently? Is there evidence that I could do this differently even if there's no evidence in the world? So it.
It sounds so tedious, but not engaging in those thoughts and not in a way where I'm stuffing them down. I engage to the point of like, I'm thinking about this. Any nuggets of wisdom here, any new information, any new ideas on the remedy or the antidote for this? No, just waffling, just ruminating. Okay, I'm changing the subject. And so I know it sounds super small, but it really is just like a dedication to switching my thoughts.
And then in that is switching my perspective too, right? Like, I'm thinking that that's not an option because I'm coming from the perspective of I'm not shit and I can't do that. And that changing your thoughts is a gateway to changing your perspective and really double checking that. So I really see those as kind of together. For me, anxious feelings always are way more heightened when I have not moved my body.
Jina Seer (18:39.48)
If I don't go outside or move my body for an hour or two a day, I feel anxiety. That's just the way it is. So when someone tells me, oh, I'm just feeling so anxious. I have all these anxious feelings. A lot of times I'll ask them like, what's your movement practice? How do you move your body? And for the most anxious people, they are not moving their body. And I would be driven insane with my anxious feelings if I didn't move my body.
And for my whole life, I've always known that I've always known that, but working in the exercise and fitness industry, it was always this thing of like, don't exercise too much or that's a problem. Are you exercise anorexic? You know, and it was almost like if you work out for more than an hour, it was like a red flag. And now if I'm moving my body two hours a day, even three hours a day, like whether it's a weekend and I take a really long, slow hike, or maybe that's during the day and I have like
couple hours hike in the morning and then I do Pilates in the evening or maybe I'm at home and my movement is more like stretching and fascia rolling, whatever. I have to move this container. This container is animated by energy, energy that wants to move. And I'm so thankful I have a fucking ton of energy and it will turn against me if I don't move my body. So move your body.
And what's the best movement for you? Something that you'll actually do. I'm not being snarky or nasty. That's the actual fucking truth. Like what feels good to you and what will you do every day? And what will you miss on the days you can't do it? Because inevitably there will be a day here or there that you can't do it. That's the goal. So don't stop trying new things. Don't stop expanding your awareness and understanding how you like to move your body, how you can move your body.
Be on that journey to find a practice of movement that you love, that feels good, and fuck everything else that everyone says about it. It's not enough, it's too much, you're gonna get injured, what are you running away from? I'm running from my anxiety. I'm running from the insanity of this world, and it feels so good, and I've never felt so good in my life. Okay, other things that I've done is like getting crystal clear.
Jina Seer (21:02.782)
on where I'm going. So I used to think, I would kind of like a business like A, B and C or, I see steady growth year after year. So I just kind of took that as a good thing. But I never said, here's exactly where I'm going. Here's exactly what I want. And I don't, I haven't done that in any area of my life in so long. And there are reasons why I stopped doing it. Some of them valid, some of them not. It doesn't matter. Here I am now. And I am crystal fucking clear.
on where I'm going and who I am and how I'm getting there. And I am not giving my energy to a man anymore. I am not giving my energy trying to fucking fit in. I am crystal clear on where I'm going. So things that used to cause anxiety was I would make a decision and then doubt myself. I would give someone help and then feel resentful. And it was constant, this constant circle.
of feeling that way. And it wasn't until I got crystal clear on who I am and where I'm going that all of that left. Because if I help someone, I have more than enough energy to help them and it feels good to help. I don't even feel resentment about it anymore because I'm taking care of myself and taking care of my business and where I'm going. But before, when I was not doing that, I wasn't taking care of myself. I was not clear on where I was going. With that was frustration, doubt. Did I make the wrong decision again?
fuck it, get super clear. So that's why I have worked into these hypnotic suggestions and these hypnotic journeys is this idea of you getting clear. Like, where are you going? Who are you? And that isn't something that maybe you will get a flash and it'll be a clear picture, but for me, that has been something that I work on and I get a little bit of information on almost every single day. And it has created this picture that is so clear.
and so true to who I am. And to watch it unfold now isn't frustrating. I don't need the whole picture. It's actually really fun to watch it unfold and get curious. Like, what's this gonna turn into? What am I gonna do with this energy? It's like, I actually feel curious and lighthearted about it. Where before it was almost like this burden, something that made me feel frustrated, resentful most often to myself, and being able to move from that, getting clear, trusting myself.
Jina Seer (23:29.21)
massive and alleviating dread, fear, worry, all of that stuff. So those are the things that have really helped me. And the clarity piece, I've really woven into these hypnotic journeys, but there's also space for you to get more information about like you specifically, like what would help you with your specific and anxious feelings and what's your route to move through it or get beyond it or prevent it entirely.
As I was creating this, you know, I was getting a little jealous. I was like, I want this information for me today. Like I've been on a journey with all of this stuff for so long. And so many of my clients are on a journey with it. That's actually all of the topics for every week through the end of the year is something that I've wrestled with and my clients, many clients have wrestled with. So I'm like, okay, these are themes. Let's dive in.
But I, as I was creating it, I'm like, I'm kind of getting, I want to know this information for me right now. So I sat down with my higher self energy. So here, I'm going to read it to you. When I asked what I can know about my anxious state. Okay, so here are my higher self notes. Be present with your anxious state. It takes strength and endurance, but you can build it. Similar to your second weekend with Ayahuasca, you can be in that anxious state.
in a state that used to be overwhelming to you, and you can sit there, and you can know peace, and feel joy, and gratitude, and love when your body is feeling so chaotic. Continue to cultivate this. You want even more of that. So add this to your training. You're already doing these endurance efforts. This is another thing.
you can add to your training. When it gets uncomfortable, use it. Go within. Find your peace. Find your clarity. Find your reason. Get into the energy of, I'm going to do this. And practice, practice, practice. So that piece of it where it's like getting the energy of, I'm going to do this. So I mentioned, I think it was last week.
Jina Seer (25:49.01)
that I'm planning this massive hike, which I'm going to tell you more about. And I'm going to talk all about the training for it and all of that. So this is something that's been on my mind, right? So my higher self energy is like, hey, this, this is like something that you already want in your life. So use this energy, right? So the thought for my higher self was, Jina, when you're at night brushing your teeth, I want you to feel the energy of, I'm going to fucking do this.
And I can do that about anything. And it's just about feeling the feeling within my body, in my mind of I'm fucking doing this. I'm doing it. I'm doing it. I'm doing it now. I'm gonna do it tomorrow. I'm gonna finish it. I'm gonna do it. Like cultivate that within me. So I'm like, why would I do that while I'm brushing my teeth? What does that mean? And it was about tying it to something in your day. So that's it. Just Jina, when you're brushing your teeth, be in that energy. Think about those things.
And so start with something small, right? So I'm doubting myself. This hike is so big that I'm doubting myself, but I will fucking do it. I will get there and you'll hear about my journey to get there. But it was like being in that energy is the practice I need. So last week, I think it was an episode two 14, I spoke about this big hike that I want to do and how my awareness used to be so caught up in the negativity of it. Like when I was sleeping on trail, it's like, oh, I'm cold. I miss my home, blah, blah, blah. And I would just...
sit in those feelings and then wonder why I always felt so like held back by my homesickness or something. And instead it was like, yes, stop doing that. And part of my training now is actively feeling in my body, I'm doing this and I can do this. So even though I don't feel it about that hike right now, I can feel it about tomorrow's hike. I can feel it about the classes I'm gonna teach in Pilates tomorrow.
I can feel it about my relationship with my ex-husband. I'm nailing it. I can feel that way about being a parent to my dogs. I can feel that way about so many things in my life that typically the world would say, you shouldn't, don't spend too much time congratulating yourself on that. And it's not about that. It's about cultivating that feeling in my body, building that neuroplasticity of I'm doing this. I can fucking do it.
Jina Seer (28:17.68)
So my higher self was like, do that every night when you brush your teeth and do that. And the more you do it, the bigger the thing that you're doing and the thing that you're nailing, the bigger it'll get. And the hope is, that by in six months or seven months when I'm doing this massive hike every night when I'm brushing my teeth, it does not matter what kind of day I had. It doesn't matter what kind of little bitch crybaby I was on the trail. None of it matters.
I will be brushing my teeth, reinvigorating myself with the feeling, the being of I'm doing it and I'm going to continue to do it. The other thing about that is something I said to myself or I said to a few people this spring, but I heard it because I was there for every time I said it. I said, it's like it just it wouldn't be spring if I wasn't laying awake at night, dreading the hike that I planned.
a four day excursion or a five day excursion in the back country with, you know, like four or five women or some huge endurance effort, like going across the Grand Canyon or doing the local 50 mile trail around Prescott. Like I'm always doing these big efforts that scare the shit out of me. And I do want to keep doing that. But I don't want to feel worry and dread in the middle of the night. Most nights leading up to that fucking hike. And so this was another
remedy for that. It was like when you are on the trail Jina, you cannot afford to even be in the habit of thinking like that. So every night brush your teeth, reset that slate, fill yourself up with that feeling. So really my higher self was reminding me of like in the excess energy of worry, frustration, resentment, whatever it is, use that energy and shift it and do something different.
think about something else, like be in a different way. And now some people will say, it feels contrived, how is this working? And we can evoke a genuine, real experience in our body just by thinking. So have you ever thought of a future event that made you so nervous or anxious or whatever that it stressed you out?
Jina Seer (30:35.818)
it increased your heart rate, your body temperature, maybe you got a little moist under the armpits. That's a real feeling created by your thoughts. And so why not do that in the opposite direction? And instead of training, worry, stress, dread, fear, a pessimistic outlook for the future, intentionally shift that, intentionally think about things that I already do that make me feel clear, peaceful, confident, like I can do this.
And then my higher self goes on to say, yes, change your thoughts, but even better practice being in that state of optimism every day in your mind and in your body. Think of a goal that feels insurmountable. Check. One that you could work toward every day, even the smallest decision, the smallest task. Just think of a big ass goal.
work toward it every day. if the work is like, I worked on it for 90 seconds, I looked something up, I sent an email, I did whatever, no matter how small, work toward it every day. And then at night, brush your teeth, feel it, believe it to be true. Feel that in your body. And it said, that's good practice for what you need to do on the trail and an antidote for your anxiety, your anxious feelings when you're on the trail.
So, and then it goes on to say, feel gratitude that everything that got you here, rely on everything that got you here. Use that as a reason to trust yourself. See how much you've done, see how much you've learned, see how much you've overcome. All of this is good practice for what you need to do. And it's an antidote for anxiety anytime, whether you're on the trail or not. So this...
idea of an antidote, it came in and it was basically like, oftentimes on trail, like the first few nights, I just don't sleep well. And sometimes it honestly feels like I don't sleep at all. Like, I'm just laying awake in this tent, waiting for sleep to come get me and it just doesn't. And anytime I'm awake in the middle of the night, the chances of anxious thoughts coming in are just like sky high. It's like the risk of it is just, it's almost inevitable, I would say up until this point.
Jina Seer (32:54.394)
And so all of this, like brush your teeth intentionally, feel a certain way. That's also practice. So when I'm laying awake in the middle of the night on the trail feeling anxious, I can notice it and then intentionally shift, shift to that well-worn feeling, that well-worn shift that I did every day, brushing my teeth, shifting to this feeling of being confident, capable.
