What if the thoughts you believe are true… aren’t? In this episode, I (tiny) example of how expanding awareness can transform the entire experience of life.

I've been shown over and over what we think is true, isn't always the only option. Move aside old programming.

Plus I'll let you know where were headed on this podcast in the next few months. Awareness expanding opportunities aplenty in your near future. Think: new perspectives, wisdom gained from your inner guidance, shifts in habits and daily life. Eeep!

  • Hey everyone, it's Jina. You're listening to Seer Sessions. Today, I thought I would just check in, let you know what I've been thinking about, what I've been up to and where we're going for the rest of the year. I've got it all planned out and if you engage, we are going to expand your awareness. Okay. Speaking of expanding your awareness, I'm going to start with a little update, but in this update, I'm going to start with noticing the benefits of expanding my awareness.

So I think that we can think of expanding awareness in a million different ways, but here this is how I'm experiencing it. And this is how I'm experiencing, I guess, the benefits of it. I don't know. It can be kind of nebulous, like out there, hard to understand. So expanding awareness. Here's what I've noticed recently. So a couple nights ago, I was going to bed and I was literally like...

pulling up my fluffy comforter, laying back on my perfectly plump pillow. And I just was struck with this thought of, when I'm out on the trail, I'm going to be so homesick for this bed. And I know that people talk about, you know, not getting attached to things and things don't bring you happiness. Yes, and

My things really do bring me happiness. I love my things. I cherish my things. I take care of my things. I buy just the right things for me. And so I enjoy them. And to be struck with this kind of gross, homesick feeling, and it was like, I'm going to miss this so much when I'm on the trail. I don't want to feel that way. Why would I feel that way? not on the trail.

Um, I don't have to be on the trail. Like no one's making me be out there. And the thing is, is that I've been thinking about 2026 and just what I want to do. And I want to do some big, um, physical endurance efforts. And one of them is so big and it's on a trail that I have been wanting to, um, hike for 20 years, over 20 years since college.

    Jina Seer (02:27.688)

And it's going to require a lot of physical strength and endurance. It's going to require a lot of mental strength. I know that my mental state is going to be the most brutal thing about it. I'm going to miss my dogs so much. I'm going to miss these babies so much. And it's like, I have a fear of heights. I've come a long way in that fear, but it's still a factor, especially on a hike like this. So there's a lot.

mentally that I'll be dealing with and preparing for, like leading up to it and I'll be talking about it. But knowing that, you know, I'm even more so, you know, that's just another part of my journey of always trying to learn and grow, expand my awareness, understand consciousness, all that stuff, you know, what it means for me in my life, not necessarily capital T truth everywhere. And so in this moment, I'm in my bed and I'm struck with this feeling of like,

just dread like homesickness. And normally that's just where I'm at. Like I just feel that and I'm like, this is something I'm going to have to deal with. This whole thing is going to be mentally really, really difficult. So this is something I'm also going to have to deal with. And it was like, all right, that's expanded awareness. Like knowing that that's something I do.

And being able to be like, okay, how am going to get through that? How am I going to lead myself through that? That's expanding your awareness for sure. But in that moment in my bed, my awareness was totally expanded. Or I saw that my awareness had been expanded and it was like, this thought immediately came in. So I had that homesick feeling, that dread feeling of like, I'm going to miss this so much when I'm on the trail. that, it was.

immediately followed by a thought that was like, you don't have to feel that. And it was just like, yeah, I don't. Like, yes, it's true. Yes, I'm to miss my bed. Yes, I'm going to miss these dogs, but I don't have to think about it. I don't have to spend a lot of time thinking about it. mean, I don't think there's any right answer for me. My practice would be I'm going to think about it enough. So

    Jina Seer (04:41.386)

I spend more time with them and I prepare myself mentally for it. But just wallowing in it with no point, I'm not going to do that. I'm going to think about something else. I'm going to think about the reasons why I'm doing this hike. I'm going to think about the work I'm doing. I'm going to think about the next podcast episode. I'm going to think about my dogs. I'm going to think about anything besides that. So it was this feeling that came in.

homesick, dread, and then immediately thought of like, you don't have to think about that. So yeah, it's true, but don't think about it. Why would you think about it if you're going to do it anyway? It's just brutalizing yourself emotionally. And I'm like, shit. And then this thought came in and don't think about it now. Don't think about it, leaning up to it and don't think about it when you're on the trail. If you miss them, I do this meditation with

With my dogs, I just try to feel their energy. Like I can feel them beside me without physically feeling them beside me. And so I do that because someday they're not going to be here. Hopefully I live, you know, 50 more years. They won't. And so it's a way for me to connect to them after they pass away. But when I go on a long trip, it's also a way for me to connect with them.

And I talk to them and I tell them what I'm doing. And I say, can you go in your heart and feel me and know that I'm always there? So we have this thing that we do, but outside of that, like, why would I think about it? Why would I wallow in that? It just doesn't make sense. And so my thought also expanded because like I said, looking toward this trip and being like, okay, am I going to be able to do this? Like, how am I going to prepare myself to get through this? Because.

high chances that I'm going to quit. You know, like so high. And I just don't want to quit. I don't want to quit. I don't want to quit. I want to be that bad bitch at the end of this hike. That's why I'm starting this hike. And so it's really important to me. Like I have started so many physical efforts and endeavors and been okay with quitting early. This one, no, I don't want to, so I'm being super prepared. So was that thought like in bed.

    Jina Seer (07:04.716)

Don't think about this. And then it was like, and don't think about this on the trail because it might not seem like a big deal. Like, okay, so you're not thinking about it, but you still miss them. No, I only miss them when I'm thinking about it. I only miss them when I'm feeling bad when I'm thinking about it. And so can I even think about them and feel something good instead? And again, it may not seem like a big deal, but guess what? That annihilates me on the trail.

Thinking of shit that I miss so bad and focusing on that and then kind of like rallying around that, that is the slope to quitting for me. It really is. And so yeah, it's true, but you don't have to think about it. It's tiny, but that's the kind of shit that shifts for me. And then it's like my whole life changes or like a whole other perspective opens up or a whole other perspective and then opportunities and that perspective opens up. It's pretty cool.

So that is my most recent understanding of how my awareness is changing or my consciousness is expanding. My awareness is expanding. Okay, so what I have coming up for us for the rest of the year, we are going to be playing in that trance space so much and I'm really excited for you. Who will you be at the end of this year if you take these journeys and expand your awareness?

Okay, so in that trance space, as you've listened to, you've heard me talk, you've seen sessions about it, you've maybe even taken your own hypnotic journeys, but we can go into this hypnotic trance, into this transcendental state, it's the theta brainwave state, it's where you're so relaxed, you're almost drifting off to sleep. We can go there and we can access our soul's memories, so memories from other lifetimes. We can experience those lifetimes.

parts of those lifetimes that can create shifts in us creating new perspectives, which will change you instantly. We can go into that transcendental state and we can also like access our inner soul, that inner guidance, our soul's wisdom for insights to our life, answers to big questions and new perspectives on how we can move forward in our life.

    Jina Seer (09:27.616)

Now there are so many ways to get to that transcendental state. You've heard me say it before. can use plant medicine, you can use your breath. can use drumming, rhythmic movement, chanting, prayer, meditation. There's all kinds of ways to get there. I like to use hypnosis because that's what works the best for me personally. And that's how I work with clients as well. So hypnosis, the way I've learned about it, because I'm coming from a hypnosis background.

relaxing our mind and our body. So our conscious mind kind of moves to the side slightly and our subconscious mind is more open. We have more access to the subtleties around us and within us. And so the idea is, is that our subconscious mind holds every memory of everything that's ever happened to us. And so in that hypnotic state, we can access those memories.

And if you're someone who believes in reincarnation or more than one life, then that would be how you're accessing those memories as well. But because we're in that subconscious mind, that subconscious mind holds our deep beliefs, values, and perspectives, kind of the filter in how we make sense of the world. And a lot of times these filters, these adaptations, they were really formed when we were, for the most part, even younger than seven years old. So it's not

crazy that we get to be in our thirties and our forties, older, sometimes younger, that we create a life and pretty soon we realize like the way we're acting is not the way we want to be acting in our life, but it's hard to change those things. And those can be those deeply held, like programs, responses, perspectives on the world, beliefs, beliefs in the world, beliefs in who you are.

And so when we run up into that, that's when we go to hypnosis or that's when my clients go to hypnosis. That's when I go to hypnosis and we go into that subconscious mind to try to understand those tendencies, rewire those tendencies, particularly with hypnotic suggestion, but also through these experiences, gaining new perspectives and just wisdom on your life. And then also experiencing heightened high frequency emotions like

    Jina Seer (11:45.656)

peace, love, joy, gratitude. That's another way that we can shift and change that subconscious mind. And so to do that work, we do it in the subconscious mind. And the cool thing about that is it just does it. You've just kind of rewired your software. It just does it. It's not a thing anymore. When we can really understand these changes that we're making in these subtle realms, in this transcendental state, in our subconscious mind.

we can kind of accelerate those changes or make those changes even more abundant, even more impactful when we're more consciously aware of what we're actually doing. So with that, I will be sharing all kinds of hypnotic journeys with you until the end of the year, like I said, and in tomorrow's episode, I'm going to tell you all about the anatomy of a hypnotic journey, the way I put them together based on the

three different types of hypnotic journeys that I specialize in. So every single week is going to have a theme. I'm going to tell you those themes in a little bit. each theme week, each theme, each week, we're going to journey to another lifetime to explore a facet within that theme. So you can gain new perspectives and have instant change in your life after that hypnotic journey. And then the second hypnotic journey within that same theme each week.

is a journey to your higher self, your higher self, your inner wisdom, your soul's wisdom, however you want to think of it. We're going to journey there so you can get answers to questions, all things that might help you gain new insights, create new habits, new understandings for you to take your next step forward. And then the third and final hypnotic journey for each week within that same theme is going to be a directive hypnotic journey. That's where you're going to be.

going through a hypnotic induction and then getting the positive affirmations planted into your subconscious mind and then we'll gently bring you back. And that third journey actually would be great for you to turn on as you're going to bed at night and just fall asleep to that. And I recommend you do it every night for a month. You're gonna see changes. It's gonna be wild. It's wild to do that because you're engaging in it every day for a month.

    Jina Seer (14:05.857)

but it's such subconscious changes that you almost don't notice it's changing until you get to the end of the day. And it's like, I would be turning on my hypnotic script so I could fall asleep to it. And it would be like, yeah, I was in this situation today. It usually gives me anxiety and it didn't. It's like, it's kind of a nice reminder. So just engaging in hypnosis every single day for a month is kind of a journey in and of itself. Yeah, so each week,

All three of those journeys will be yours. Okay. So I'm going to pull up. I'm going to pull up some of these hypnotic journeys that we got coming up. So this starts next week. So the theme for next week is from anxious to curious. So really transforming that energy. If you're someone with a lot of anxious energy, like, you know, I'm not a doctor, so keep taking your meds, do what you got to do and take care of yourself. But it is.

a mentality. And I am someone who struggles from anxiety for sure. so for me, this has been really helpful in easing my anxiety and really channeling that energy. sometimes we can just think of anytime we have a lot of energy in our body that feels uncomfortable. I like to think of how am going to use this?

to become who I'm becoming. How can I use this, transform this energy within me into action, essentially? So you're gonna have a chance to do that with your own anxiety. And even if you aren't someone who says you have anxiety, if you're someone who even experiences just like dread, malaise, you can kind of go in there with an open mind and you're gonna get what you need, specific to whatever it is, wherever you're at in your life. The week after that,

we're focusing on optimism and discernment. So how can you stay optimistic and stay discerning? And I think intuition is the way. Maybe it'll be a different answer for you, but you're gonna go on these hypnotic journeys to another lifetime to understand more about that for you. Optimism, discernment, sometimes it's almost like we feel, I sometimes feel,

    Jina Seer (16:16.713)

If I'm positive, does that make me like naive? Does that make me an easy target? And so I think it's great to be both optimistic and very discerning, understanding, you know, what is for you, what is not for you. And then after those two weeks, ooh, it's going to get juicy. Okay. So we, I have been on such a journey and same with some of my clients and a lot of them don't even know each other and don't even know that other people are going through it besides, I guess, what I tell them.

But so many people, myself included, it's like this push to bring your physical body into your spiritual practice. What does that even mean? And it means something a little bit different to everyone. And I would imagine it means something not only different to everybody, but probably different to each one of us, like at different times in our life. So we're really exploring that relationship with the body. The first theme is enjoy being in your body. How can you enjoy being in your body more?

What does that look like for you? So again, you'll get the three hypnotic journeys within that theme, helping you get clear, super clear on that. We're to be talking about nourishing your body. Like, what does that mean? And I think of nourishment. A lot of times when people hear that, they just think of food. I like to zoom out and I think of it as consumption. So media, food, other people's attitudes and problems, you know, just like, what are you consuming? We have to understand.

the subtle energies in our life and the way these energies are moving. It's not just what we're putting in our mouth, it's what we're putting in our brain, in our minds, in our emotions, in our heart. So you can think that widely or not, it's totally up to you, but you'll be going on three hypnotic journeys if you want to, to really understand like, what does it mean to have a nourished body and what does it mean for you to nourish your body?

And what people get when I ask those questions, so many of my clients have been getting like, yes, of course, like sometimes there's some food adjustments to be made and people will kind of dig into that. But really a lot of times it has to do with the thoughts, like the thoughts we're chewing on essentially, and the things that we're consuming that promote those thoughts that we chew on that are not good for the relationship with our body, for the energy in our body.

    Jina Seer (18:42.655)

And we often don't think of thoughts as consuming energy, but they do. mean, if you've ever been in a situation for me personally, I really notice it when I'm pushing myself like in a physical effort, like the draining of my mentality. Like if I just shift to the positive, sometimes it seems like the most difficult thing to do. Sometimes it seems like I'm almost lying to myself, but if I can shift the feelings in my heart genuinely, my thoughts lead the way.

I have way more energy when I'm done. And I used to live my life in such a negative state. And I know that's why I had like, so little energy. I always thought it was this food or that thing. And now I look back on it and it was like, I was just leaking energy, just given energy to sources that would not give it back and just leaking energy through my own negative thoughts. it

Pay attention to that. So zoom out if you want, lot going on with the body. That's one way. Think about nourishing your body. You're gonna be able to get way more information on that. And then the next week, the next theme is about clear communication with your body. Some say aches and pains are the way our body talks to us. And I agree, you know, sometimes it's hard to figure that out, but I think it is the way.

And if we agree with that, then why not get attuned to the subtleties so we can feel when our body is off just a little and then know what that is, because we're attuned to our body and the subtleties, so we can get some help before things are an emergency. And it's in that prevention vein for sure. But no matter what, being able to really be tuned into the subtleties of your body.

It's not only about physical health, but it's also about our body is really tied to our intuition as well, our instincts, how we understand things without knowing them logically. We feel these things in our body. So to have that friendship, that allyship, that being an advocate for your body, even working with your body, seeing your body as a partner in doing this life, it's like, why not? Number one, it is like you can't get away from it. And

    Jina Seer (21:04.683)

why not befriend it and feel better in it? So you're gonna have a chance to explore all of that. We're gonna also be talking about in that is like loving who you are, seeing who you are, unlocking your full potential. So those are like two different weeks. I'm not entirely sure how I'll line them up or how I'll title them, but it's really that transition. It's like see and know who you are, love who you are.

unlock that potential. The week after that, we're talking about accessing your creativity, flowing with your creativity, understanding your creativity. And this is true whether you're someone who's like a creative person and you're feeling creatively blocked, that would be a good time to use those. Even if you feel like you're not a creative person, that makes me want you to do those journeys even more. You're a human, you have access to creativity.

It is yours, it feels good to flow with it. So let's learn all about it. That's what that week is about. Again, you'll have those three hypnotic journeys to do it. And then of course, it's me. So I want you to dig around, understand your intuition. That's a theme one week. Understand your intuition. And it'll be so interesting to me what you get in the sense of like understanding your intuition and what your body's telling you. then...

communicating with your body and like what are the overlaps there in those hypnotic journeys? You guys I'm so excited for you Where are you gonna be at the end of the year? We're all gonna be so evolved. Okay, so here's the thing We did the one on anxiety. Here's the other thing depression. Yes, take your medicine listen to your doctor all that stuff and Explore yourself check in with yourself. So there's a week where it's gonna be about

understanding your depression. Now, this would be if you're someone who just gets low every once in a while, that's normal. You know, it's good to dig in if you want during those times and be like, what's going on here? And it's good if you have depression. I'm not saying this is going to cure you, but you're never going to be worse off by being introspective and understanding yourself. I have been on and off antidepressants like three times in my adult life.

    Jina Seer (23:26.513)

And the more I get to know myself, the more I understand myself, the more I can make decisions in life, decisions that I truly want. that lifted my depression more than anything, more than any medication, any of that. but I needed medication at those times. So take care of yourself and be your own advocate, work to understand who you are, how you tick, change your life in a way that would make you feel happy to live.

I was always so depressed because I was trying to fit in the society box. Like, get your corporate job, buy a house, get married, check the boxes. That doesn't work for me. I am way too weird and eccentric and out there for that. Like that lifestyle makes me depressed and that's why I was depressed. But to get to know myself and to trust myself and have the confidence to like live a life that's, you know, maybe a little left of center.

but really lights me up, nothing lifted my depression like that. So just keep that in mind and take care of yourself and listen to your doctor. You know, it's a balance. Okay, then we have effortless gratitude. Yes, sometimes when I am out on a trail or on a road trip, I am just overcome with gratitude and it's spontaneous. And I've kind of trained myself along that way. Like I was intentional about it at some point.

along my journey, but a lot of times it's just spontaneous now. And I feel so grateful for that. And I just think we can do this. Like you don't have to hike like I hike to do that. You don't have to go on road trips like I do to do that. You don't even have to travel to do it. You've made decisions in your life and some of them were really, really good decisions. So how can you feel like spontaneously just gratitude?

when you're engaged with that part of your life. Yes, gratitude journals and stuff, like I think those are great. It's a good way to train your mind. But what are we training for with that, right? Like I wanna train so I can do this spontaneously. I don't wanna only feel gratitude when I'm like, get the notebook and the pen and sit down and, okay, yeah, I guess I'm grateful for that. I guess I'm grateful for that. You know, that's not really how it goes for me, but it can feel like that sometimes.

    Jina Seer (25:53.097)

So it's like, how can we progress to just feeling gratitude and not having to like.

Pondr it so much, I guess, or like write about it or make such a thing about it. Can I just be this? Why do I have to make such a thing about it? So that's why I brought that up. Effortless gratitude. I want more in my life, so I'm sharing it with you. I hope you want it. And then we have one week on simply taking action. Like understanding how you take action, why you take action. Do you want to change that? What action should you take next? Perfect, perfect.

perfect if you're feeling stuck or if you're feeling like revved up motivated and you're like, I just don't know what the best choice is. Go to that theme, go to that week, get some clarity. and then we have from victim to creator. That's one week. I never really identified with the victim mentality, but there's always been this part of me that holds me back, doesn't trust myself, is a real shit talker, big self-critic.

And I released a lot of that in 2024. And in that, even though I don't really, I didn't feel like I had a victim mentality in hindsight, I can see that's what it was. Even though I wasn't like, I've been victimized and I'm carrying that as my identity. I still had a victim mentality in the sense of like, I just thought I wasn't shit. I always had something to prove. I was not good enough in my own mind. I was always criticizing myself.

just really, really hard and nasty to myself. And that's a victim mentality. Essentially, I'm like victimizing myself. And so no matter how you see that, if you feel like there's a part of you that just can't get over something or feel stuck or is playing small, like making that shift to really embodying this, I am the creator of my life. it's not hope something happens, it's.

    Jina Seer (27:54.279)

make it happen. You want that job? It doesn't exist. Go ask for it. Go find 10 other people who you could ask for it. Create the job. Sell someone on it. Like, what else are we going to do on this planet right now? And I, it sounds so simple, but I never thought like that. It was just kind of like, well, I'll try, but I'll try next time. Or, I'll try. Or, yeah, this is good. I mean, it's not exactly what I thought it would be, but it's good enough. You know, just kind of like hanging out.

And I always had this vision of myself that I was someone who liked change and took action. But after all the mind expanding things I did last year, I really see I had such a victim mentality. Or at least that's how I see it in hindsight. It's like an easy way to talk about it. So with that in mind, you're going to be out of victim mentality. You're going to be creating your GD life and you're going to get so much clarity on your next steps.

we have a week where we're getting lessons from difficult times. So maybe there's like, I don't know, I hope I'm the only one. I hope you hear this and you don't identify with it, but in the off chance you do, I'll share it. So what about those times where like you have this memory of an encounter with someone or an interaction with someone or an argument with someone? That's usually my problem. And you just think about it and you just really regret it. It's almost just.

hot searing pain to think about it. It's so awful, so gross. If you have something like that and you're fed up enough with it that you have the courage to like bring it to that hypnotic journey, one of the hypnotic journeys or all of them that week, you definitely should. When we are able to take something like that, that's so like searing hot painful and we

allow it into our mind gently, not pushing yourself beyond your limits, like allow it into your mind gently. Our subconscious mind takes it and it's like, what is the little gem here? What is the little nugget of wisdom that I can pull out? You can see a new perspective, you can take a learning from it, you can feel responsibility for it in a way that you go, yep, and I'm taking care of it. And it boosts your self-trust.

    Jina Seer (30:09.929)

and it releases some of that heaviness, resentment, regret, whatever it is. So even though that's kind of like, ew, gross, heavy, I don't wanna do those hypnotic journeys, if and when you ever have something like that come into your life, like bring that to that week, just be gentle with yourself. You know I'm gentle with you. Be gentle with yourself, go into that hypnotic journey and just see what you can find out. All right, and then we'll close out the year with purpose. Purpose?

Purpose, purpose. Everyone's so interested in their life purpose, right? You know why? Because we came here with a purpose, that's why. And when we are more and more in touch with ourselves, the magic in this world, our sixth sense, we can start to feel this idea of like, I want more. And I think it's like more purpose, more drive, more intention.

And what a great way to end this year and start the next year with purpose in mind. Purpose for the next year, purpose for your life, if you want it, purpose for one area of your life. So that's how we'll close out the year. I'm having so much fun creating the hypnotic suggestions, the journeys, the angles within the themes each week. So I'm really excited to release them and have you go on these journeys and like expand.

your awareness from the comfort of your own home. You can even do it as you drift off to sleep at night. mean, multitask while you're drifting off to sleep. Does it get any better? All right, everybody, that's our episode for today. If you wanna learn more about my work, go to seersessions.com.
